That may be too much pressure on Shore though. It's better to let him get his feet wet on the bottom.

Some of these guys have got to go. The Hawks lost a bunch of key players after their 2010 cup win and still were able to repeat. Stock the prospect pool back up while there's still a chance...

They still suck. Basic plays are routinely screwed up by them. They have trouble getting the puck deep and when they do, they're never the first ones there. The Kings are struggling because the defense is roughed up, but this fourth line is still bad. Losing Toffoli and Pearson will do that.

Shore is not a top six center. His skill set is much better suited in a checking line roll. Shore is the perfect third line center type when his game rounds out.

Anyone who isn't concerned just because of our playoff success and this team is "built for the playoffs" is just being arrogant. I get it, 2 rings in the last 3 years. But guess what, the history isn't on our side because there's hasn't been a repeat champion in 16 years. Getting blown out by a lottery team at home? Give me a ****in break.
