There is a lot wrong with having an 80’s pop song as a goal song for a professional hockey team. Hockey is a physical and intimidating sport, and they have freaking Hall and Oates playing to pump the team and fans up after goals. I have no idea what he organization is thinking. I thought Righteous Smoke was a great goal song...not sure why they scrapped it.
well as it seems to pump the team and fans up, i'm not understanding what the issue is.
Objectively there is.Some thing there is nothing wrong with the goal song
Chaos AD by Sepultura???![]()
I’ve always thought of hockey every time I hear this song.
Objectively there is.
It was fun for the first 30 times. The next thirty felt quirky. Since then, it's just the worst Goal song in the NHL.
Nothing wrong with change.
I highly doubt thatAnyone asking for gritty metal songs are never going to get your wish better to kill that delusion fast.
Current one took me a while to get used to now I love it. It was also said the players had input for the song and like it as well.
Let's be honest we are lucky they didnt pick some god awful garbage from like Drake or the Weeknd.
If you wanna talk about goal songs that got old that's Chicago, Chelsea Dagger is such a lame ass song
Here here !!The Leafs are the Best... better than all the rest... from the east coast to the west... the Leafs are the best!!!!
Cannot argue with your strong pointsThe Hall and Oates song is awesome. Gets you happy and it gets really insulting to the other team when the Leafs score a bunch. Not to mention it's different than all the other goal songs in the league and catchy as hell. Replacing it with most of these suggestions would be just silly. Why would you change something that's working and unique to replace it with a song that sounds like everything else in the league. To me, changing it to some hard rock/metal song just because it isn't "hardcore" or "badass" enough just reeks of insecurity. I don't care what a goal song is supposed to sound like. All I care is that the song the Leafs use gets people loose and energized which the current one does. I remember playing hockey growing up and the teams you were actually intimidated by weren't the guys pumping iron maiden or slayer during the warm ups, it was the teams who had the confidence and sense of humor to play the spice girls and destiny's child that you knew were really crazy.
If they were brothers they would be ....The Hall and Oates defenders are righteous
