New GM Trades and Signings Part 2

..and yet one of the most consistent things we read about Keefe, is he's been excellent in bringing up young players, teaching them, giving them opportunities to succeed, and fail. At times, he's taken away ice time for players not ready, when the situation demanded... such as Sandin and Liljegren the last two playoffs.

I don't think Keefe is perfect, and might not be able to figure things out for us to ultimately win, but I do think he's a good coach bringing up younger guys.

I'm still curious about what Philly is gonna do. There was a lot of interest in their top players and they want a big rebuild. They haven't done much after dumping out Provorov.

If the Leafs end up trading Nylander, I wonder if Konecny could be someone they go turn to? Or maybe they pull the trigger on Sanheim? Or both in some sort of blockbuster? I'm not a huge Sanheim fan but I'd be very interested to see how he does in a new environment and I think he can shift into Brodie's role going into next year... but it's a lot of risk for someone locked up long-term.

Be great to add Scott laughton too. No idea how to make a trade with that much salary and help get cap compliant.

Which young guy has be brought up so far?

He’s coached at the OHL level Bunting, De Angelo, McCann, Nurse… at the AHL level, Nylander, Hyman, Leivo, Carrick, Brown, Kapanen, Holl, Johnsson, Marchment, Moore, Grundstrom, Engvall, Sandin, Liljegren, Woll

Many of whom he’d then coach at the NHL level.

He’s known for being good at developing players. Winning in the playoffs at the NHL level… he hasn’t figured that out yet.

And do you realise than the difference between 40 season high by nylander and 33 season high by fiala its the 2 3v3 nylander goal over fiala and his 73 of pp time over where he scored 4 goal over fiala just resulting of a supplemental pp time.

The fact leafs used nylander more than anybody else on pp in toronto and played 1 minute over fiala of pp by game + fact he scored more 3v3 goal... thats what justify a difference of 2M? Are you really serious

are you really serious - maybe you should look at analytics and how the ice tilts.

Its clear there's no point in having this discussion.

And availability is an asset.

What about something with Minny, Rossi has had trouble breaking through and they have a lot cap space
Rossi and Hartman For Nylander and Murray
Then sign Dumba on a show me contract
