Man, if we can land both Bertuzzi and Domi our forwards are shaping up nicely.

A bit worried what this means in terms of cap implications and how we’re going to sign Sammy while improving the d core. I highly doubt Treliving is happy with the defense in how it’s currently constructed.

Nolan Patrick is not bad... if you can look past the injury history.

And he is affordable for us.

I doubt he plays hockey again. Unless he wants his brain to be mush.

Nylander for Pesce is terrible. Morrow isn't much of a needle mover either, above average prospect.

To me, Seattle is probably the team you hope steps up and offers a good package for Nylander. A lot of good young players/prospects and picks. And then turn around and trade for a targetted defenseman that isn't a pending UFA asking for a huge extension.

What realistic pieces would you be looking for from Seattle?

My biggest concern tbh...and this falls solely on Keefe... play defense as a whole. Not just freaking defensemen but everyone better be grinding for that puck.

A lot of the players we have brought arent good defensive players but they better learn how to because it pays dividends.

I don't know how tapped in Kypreos is these days considering the CTE but he says Leafs want 1 year 2.5 AAV for Domi.

In the last couple of years Kypreos has dropped a lot of different leaf nuggets that came to be true . Also gotta think Tie is giving this info.

It is a long off-season and we are going to be rounding out the coaching staff more for Keefe but who knows what will happen.

The frustrating part is we are capable...but we forget it and that pisses the shit out of me and others I'd imagine.
