You have to assume Murray is of the cap one way or another at this point. Buyout, trade, or LTIR but either way he is gone. Even without Domi.

Personally I would dump Brodie (pending UFA anyway) for a towering presence like Zadorov but don't think Flames would do it

Zadorov has been bad on RD and LD, so you just want someone big? We can probably get Myers for free off Tampa.

The canes need more scoring up front. Swapping Jarvis for Nylander solves that problem.

Canes can't make the cap work though. Svechnikov is on LTIR on cap friendly, he will be ready to go next season

Brodie had some of the best defensive metrics last year but had a rough playoff. I kind of want him beside Klingberg... we need someone to shelter him, he is REALLY bad defensively.

The much larger sample size says Brodie is still really good... if we are trading everyone after a 5 game sample size we'd have recycled the whole league through our roster by now.

Domi's edge isn't really all that different than someone like Bunting. Not much of a hitter or grinder, mostly just a feisty dirty rat. He's good around the net, especially to create chances. When he's on his game, he's really fun to watch.

He's fairly inconsistent and can be frustrating to watch when he's off his game though. Lazy and soft. But with that said, I do think he'd love to play for Toronto. I have no doubt he's waiting for Toronto to make room for him in some way if it works. He really tends to show up when there's pressure and eyes watching.

I did a 2 year deal on Ross Colton at 2.5M but honestly maybe they can get away with 2M for 1 year or something to save some pennies.

It's surprising to see so many who vouch for talent not be more lenient with Klingberg given what he can produce and defend a defensive dman at $5m.
