Maybe, who knows. It's pretty damning though and would be so TNSE to feel a Blashill or Tocchet would be a better choice than Brunette.

There was a lot of talk that Brunette just met in place everything Coach Q established. There’s no guarantee he can replicate that somewhere else. They looked like crap against Tampa in the playoffs.

Pretty disappointed that we couldn’t lock down Monty. He was my #1 choice since day 1. I think most fans are going to be pretty underwhelmed with who the Jets hire.

I assume Chevy is up at lake for the long weekend with spotty wifi.

2018 was worth it, but that went by so fast... Now, back to scheduled programming of mediocrity and embarrassment.

We had our ten minutes of glory so to speak. Fun while it lasted.

All we need is the hiring of a guy like Arniel to keep us on track of the perpetual TN spin cycle of mediocrity.

Should be finding out soon here, you'd think.

Why do we root for this team? Half the players are disgruntled, 11 years of pain for 1 season of cup contention, horrible luck with injuries to key players like Little/Buff. Now scraping the bottom of the barrel for a coach after all the teams have their guy. So depressing. Literally all pain no game with rooting for this team.
Because they represent our city….for those of us that still live here.

They scored twice in a series where they had an expected goals of close to 9.

Living in a city doesn’t mean a fan have to cheer for the team, the amount of complaining done here I would think some would be better off just cheering for any top 5 teams year to year…..

While I share a lot of sentiments on here right now, most thought Maurice was a terrible choice at the time and he came in and did a really good job for 5 years.

I'll choose to be optimistic that whoever we get will have a positive impact.
we don't even know who it is yet, this reminds me of after the copp trade where certain people complained about the return we got, when they didn't even know the return yet

I ask the same thing of why some people keep posting here. No one has a gun to your head. You don’t have to follow the team. Maybe get a hobby or something? Or find any outlet that doesn’t ruin the discussion on here?

So we were the 1st team in need of a coach and the last team to make a hire. I am pretty disappointed that Chevy was extended for 3 years. I guess hiring a coach is a “process”. The Jets should have been ready to hire a coach the second Trotz said no. They certainly appear disorganized from the outside looking in.

I can see them looking Tocchets direction as they appear to hold a coaches ability to produce good sound bites as a coach just as important as winning hockey games.

It's a bloody embarrassment.

I said early on in the Trotz watch, the one thing I was afraid of was waiting too long on Trotz that the other good coaches would get snapped up. Which now appears to be the case.

Why Julien was not even considered while Arniel, Tocchet, and Vincent were is beyond me. At this point I would take Julien over any of those other options.
Julien wasn’t interested in coming here, apparently. Heard on 32 thoughts that he was being very picky/choosy

My thought was Trotz would be amazing but I’d be stoked with Monty. Now, I don’t know what to pick. It’s like dating Milhouse from the Simpsons. 🤧

Must be so nice always arguing from a hindsight point of view. Always “appear” correct while not actually having any suggestions on what to do different. No just “no that’s wrong” “Well do you have any suggestions?” “Yeh not that because it didn’t work out.” “
Not at all what your saying.

I’m saying hiring a players dad to coach the team is bush league.

Not to sure but I don’t think it’s ever happened before and probably won’t ever happen again.

Even if it did work out it’s bush league. It’s a conflict of interest and Adams end of season interview said it all about how he felt about it.

My suggestion on what to do different would be to hire the other a different assistant from the many candidates that would of been just as good or better.

Dave was hired for the connection and it was a garbage idea

I mean, if negativity/criticism bothers you that much to the point where you feel it is "ruining" discussion, you can always block people or leave yourself.... Not sure why you think discussion has to be only positive.

Which apparently is why he was let go.
He had no answer for Tampa.

Yeah I'm not going to rush to judgment until we play some games but my excitement level is pretty low at the remaining candidates.

Or, JM would rather coach in Boston

It's never that, it's always Chevy not offering enough money or term or not being the first to ask.

 Good lord

I still think they lose the series but it was closer than a sweep would indicate.

Brunette was my 3rd choice, we’ll see.

Barry decided not to coach this year was my 1st pick. JM was my 2nd pick, but he might not of been a good fit with the team or preferred Boston.
