Probably Vincent.

At the end of the day none of them instill much confidence.

Still need to fix the roster too.

Lots of work Chevy.

Maybe they offered the contract to Monty (for more $$$ than Boston).

If we kick in free beer for life (since Trotz passed on it), I think that would clinch it. o_O

Why is Brunette not even in consideration for the Jets? Is it because Chevy is exclusively focusing on bald men for the Jets head coach job?

Montgomery reportedly signed for 3 years at 2million per year. That is embarassingly pretty cheap for a head coach. Seems like the Jets could have had him if they stepped up with an offer.

Well I'd guess that the vast majority of coaches wouldn't turn down any reasonable offer to coach in the NHL so whoever has the offer on the table is likely the next coach. Might be announced as early as tomorrow assuming that the offer wasn't made to Montgomery who's apparently still interviewing/negotiating with Boston.

It sounds like they have at least talked to him. Maybe he doesn't want anything to do with us, can't really blame the guy if that's the case.

He is an aspiring head coach without a job and almost no seats left, I'd be very suprised if he was gonna reject any head coach offers.

Boston is far along on the path of NHL post-season prosperity. The Jets are, well...

*gestures wildly*

Has there been a worse off-season for the Jets? There was maybe one good piece of news. The rest has been an avalanche of bullshit.

It's going to be Tocchet or Blashill I bet. How embarassing where we've ended up. TNSE never ceases to disappoint. Vincent is the only option I'd be at least intrigued with.
If it’s Jeff Blashill, yikes and screams chea0ing out. Any of these options now scream it tbh.

Trotz waiting a long as he did actually burned us big time. The off-season of horror continues

I'm not saying this what the Jets think, but some people are suggesting the elite Panthers team was the main driver of them having success . Perhaps Jets think he doesn't have a strong enough clout or presence to turn the team around

Maybe, who knows. It's pretty damning though and would be so TNSE to feel a Blashill or Tocchet would be a better choice than Brunette.

Last season was widely considered to be the best offseason for the Jets led to a complete disaster of a season. Maybe Chevy is superstitious and intending on having a terrible offseason to reverse that curse.

So Jets will literally be the last team to hire a coach.

It's a bloody embarrassment.

I said early on in the Trotz watch, the one thing I was afraid of was waiting too long on Trotz that the other good coaches would get snapped up. Which now appears to be the case.

Why Julien was not even considered while Arniel, Tocchet, and Vincent were is beyond me. At this point I would take Julien over any of those other options.

Why do we root for this team? Half the players are disgruntled, 11 years of pain for 1 season of cup contention, horrible luck with injuries to key players like Little/Buff. Now scraping the bottom of the barrel for a coach after all the teams have their guy. So depressing. Literally all pain no game with rooting for this team.

2018 was worth it, but that went by so fast... Now, back to scheduled programming of mediocrity and embarrassment.

No. I don't want to see "scraping the bottom of the barrel". I want to see them thinking outside the box instead of going after failed retreads. I'd rather see Vincent get a shot than see Arniel or Tocchet behind the bench.
