This would be my guess as well. Now they are going through the interview process with multiple candidates. Tim Campbell speculated they were on the second round of interviews last weekend. I think it happens before the Canada Day long weekend.

This would have been reported. NHL coaching candidates only turn down offers if they have better offers or they are stepping away from the game. There are far fewer available positions then potential candidates.

Tocchet hasn’t been brought in to coach the strongest of teams but he definitely wouldn’t be my choice.

I think it’s either Montgomery + Arniel or Pascal + Arniel…

The latter signals an incognito rebuild, imo
