Florida State just hasn’t had the recruiting classes yet to hang with Georgia’s depth in this type of game. They’ve gone heavy plugging holes at the top of the lineup through the transfer portal but most of those guys opted out.

I don't know if this would work but since these guys want NIL money, give the player half of the cash when fall training camp opens up. The other half of the year's payout is kept in reserve until the season is totally over. If they don’t play the whole season due to non injury causes, they don’t get the rest of the money. Pretty basic; no work, no pay. Just like any other job.
The same goes with the coaches. They can take a job at another school starting after the season is finished. During the year they are obliged to work solely for their school. Ex.-Manny Diaz stays at PSU until tonight. Then he can start working for Duke.

The schools/conferences are probably gonna start paying these kids directly in the future once the Big Ten & SEC kill off the ACC.

Even with the bowl games this year the 12 game playoff on the horizon likely further devalued them.

I said it week ago but the issue plaguing college football right now is that it’s still holding on somewhat to the past in some aspects while everything else is headed in a complete different direction that’s pretty predictable at this point.

The sad reality is the days of amateurism & tradition is gone & you have nobody to blame but the tv networks for that. They got the ball rolling decades ago turning this into a semi pro sport essentially & now that’s coming to roost on all fronts. The coaches got their cut & now the players want theirs too while the tv networks are trying to get closer to a model similar to the NFL which is starting to take serious place.

Normally would root for the small conference school, but eff Jerry Falwell college.

Hope Oregon gets 666 yards of offense and scores 69 points.

Minter is getting an NFL gig and I completely understand it. .

He does have NFL experience, that’s generally what coaches with those connections do when they potentially get in trouble with the NCAA.

I’d imagine the reason him (as well as Moore) didn’t draw interest in the college coaching searches is because the concern of them potentially being hit with show clauses going forward.

This is looking like the USF game for Alabama. They can’t pass protect.

I don’t think Michigan has the offense to run away with a game though. So you should be able to stick with the run if you’re Alabama & you are having some success there.

Every time I watch Michigan, I have the thought that I'm glad my livelihood doesn't depend on my ability to project McCarthy up a level. I have no idea how good he is. Or if he is.

I think he’s talented but Michigan doesn’t really ask him to do a whole lot. They don’t really put the game on his arm but to be fair I don’t really think they have the horses at WR either to really air it out. Plus their strengths do lie on defense & the run game. But the situations where he does have to improvise he seemingly does pretty well.

They’re built like an old school team that just does things at a pretty efficient level.
