Track record says they shouldn't, but Texas (and their new found SEC status) probably doesn't give them a choice. If everyone wins tonight, I fully expect a gutless Michigan-Washington-FSU-Texas run with both semi's ending in typical blowout fashion. Until we get to 12, it will be another year of the best four "resumes" versus the best four teams. With 12, they'll have more wiggle room to bump teams up/down based on the eye test.
I will vomit a bit if Michigan wins it all after the whole, "we're cheaters, but we're actually the victim" routine.
Edit: it gets interesting if both FSU and Michigan lose, but then you have the opposite. They ain't leaving out the B1G with their coming expansion. In the scenario, I think it's Washington-Alabama-Texas-Michigan/Georgia. They're going to avoid SEC fatigue, imo.
