Recruiting classes are like Hockey Prospect Pool Ranking lists.

To some coaches of course but Saban has track record of making hay with top 3-5 classes. They just had a pretty disappointing year going 11-2 & winning the Sugar Bowl. That’s still an incredibly high floor & would be a banner year for most other programs.

It’s gonna fall off eventually as all things come to end but I’m not making that claim until the casket is closed & six feet under.

Speaking of Jimbo. He was suspended for parts of the season which was a common theme amongst that ballyhooed class.

I don’t think these kids or really any kids around the country are getting crazy upfront money out of high school with these NIL deals. They’re more so future promises if you deliver on the field we’ll take care of you. I don’t think they’re binding contracts so these kids are kind of getting the harsh reality this isn’t really guaranteed money.

The NCAA Division I transformation committee concluded its work with a 22-page report released Tuesday that recommends a variety of changes to the top level of college sports, but only one likely to catch the attention of the average fan.

The committee is recommending allowing 25% of teams in sports sponsored by at least 200 schools to compete in championship events. That opens the door to possible expansion of the March Madness basketball tournaments from 68 to as many as 90 teams each.

I'm not worried, when Saban retires they'll just hire Kirby:D

I do feel good about Georgia's 12 personnel base going against TCU's 3-3-5 for what it's worth, especially if Washington can go. He will be an animal at the 2nd level in both the running and passing game.

Had a call with my Birmingham team today. You would think the world is ending over there. Saban's retirement will be more detrimental than LeBron leaving Cleveland.

Bucks County.
Rumor out there is that USC is throwing a bag at Marvin Harrison Jr.

Have to imagine "a bag" wouldn't matter to him. Not every top college athlete is in the same position, but I'm fairly certain money shouldn't be a factor in Marvin Harrison Jr's decision on where he plays. He has the privilege to truly pick where he wants to play best on what he wants. To me, that would be the environment that is going to give me the best chance to win, the best chance to get me to the next level (which he already has locked), the place that is going to help me progress my skills the most, and the place I feel I belong.

Other people are most likely in the position where "secure the bag now" trumps those other factors. Harrison is luckily enough that it doesn't need to be a factor.

It was rumored he would have left last year if Minnesota didn’t go elsewhere.

Minnesota hadn’t decided that yet. What happened is that when they were bringing him back for a second interview, Harbaugh thought he was getting the job. Because Harbaugh thinks he’s God, he stayed because Michigan thinks he’s God too.
