This year’s QB class didn’t come together. Next year’s might not either, but we’re reaching a critical mass of super talented options — Williams, Maye, Milton, Ewers, Daniels, McCarthy, and that’s without the mystery boxes like Shedeur Sanders.
Man, I've been on this train for a while, but I think the coaching at the college ranks does these guys a disservice. If it's not the perfect leverage, the perfect scheme, etc., these guys have been coached to either dump it off or make something happen with their legs. College coaches have become so risk adverse that they're under developing these QB's for what NFL game has become. Windows are small, you've got to trust your guy to win on the route and cut it loose. If not, you have a bunch of Jalen Hurts in year one taking snaps. This year’s QB class didn’t come together. It's hard to not like Deuce Vaughn.
We’ll see with McCarthy. The way Michigan runs the ball so much & has so much success they didn’t really need him a whole lot to win games on his arm.
If that's not a TD by the rules, then change them. What on earth.
