@Chinatown88 from what i can gather he had a good true freshmen year in 2019. He dealt with injuries in 2020 & 2021 only playing in 1 & 5 games those years. He played a full season this year & it sounds like it took him some time to get acclimated back after all that time missed with injuries. Later in the season it sounds like he started flashing again.

Maybe he would have been a late round pick with his measurements & likely athletic numbers at a combine. It sounds like he wanted another year of hopefully a clean bill of health & better tape. North Carolina was a dumpster fire defensively last year. Probably one of if not the worst at the P5 level on defense.

So he’s coming to a better defensive environment. Penn State doesn’t need him to be CB1 or probably not even CB2. So not a lot of pressure to be the guy & even if he does end up CB3 that position still plays a lot in Penn State’s defense.

Probably a good sign that most North Carolina fans seemed to want him back opposed to Tony Grimes who they seemingly didn’t really care he left.

I just wanted him in the draft cause he has the best name amongst draft eligible players.
