I already had a field day with my Duke friends when Carolina beat them at K's last home game. If we were to be the ones to end his career, I would be so insufferable it wouldn't be funny and I'm not even that type of guy usually.

I am definitely on this train. I mean, if they beat UNC and Duke on the way to the Final, they're the Cinderella GOAT.

One could make a very good argument for that, although I could see some countering with this:

Oh, good. Except that means that UNC just has to beat the miracle #15 seed tomorrow and the UNC/Duke game is on, right?
Somehow, they've never met in the NCAA tournament. To have the first time be a final 4 matchup? I don't even wanna know what tickets will go for. All UNC has to do is take care of business today.

I mean if St. Pete was playing the Lakers ...sure

I think a more accurate analogy would be either a college all star team or a Duke/Kansas/Kentucky playing the Lakers, not St. Pete. And if St. Pete were to win it all this year it would require 6 elimination game upsets, a 15 seed team over seeds 2, 7, 3, 8, 2 and either 1,2,or 10. I know the USA game vs. the USSR was a mammoth upset but I have no idea how big of an upset each of the rest of their Olympic games were.

I'm not arguing that a St. Pete's national championship would be a bigger upset than the Miracle on Ice, but I could see someone making a rational case for it. I guess it all depends on how you weigh different criteria.

Good point, I won't be mad if they beat us. We aren't supposed to be here anyway.. Very cool story if they pull it off.
I can't believe I just said that. I'm getting... old
