Only saw last few minutes after Rangers, but it seems Hart was big time tonight off the bench.

Brunson and Randle once again leading the way.

Still wish we had been able to get OG, Mikal, Cam, or Crowder too since we still don't have anyone to throw at the Tatum's & KD's of the NBA that can just shoot over Barrett / Grimes / Quickley / Hart.

...but Hart looked like a great fit coming off the bench. Really active and high energy out there, moved the ball well, and even hit his 3s. If he can shoot around his career average for us he should be a great pick up.

EDIT:
Thinking about it, I won't be surprised if our FO tries to realign around the Randle / Brunson/ Hart age range rather than the Barrett / Toppin / Grimes one, this offseason.

A Barrett+Toppin for Lavine+Williams framework would seem to make a lot of sense for both teams and we should be able to close that value gap with our protected FRPs if Chicago decides to retool.

Maybe expand it to send Grimes, Williams, Hartenstein, & a couple more picks to Toronto to get us Anunoby & Boucher:

Brunson | Quickley | McBride
Lavine | Hart
Anunoby | Williams
Randle | Boucher
Robinson | Sims

Brunson also activated by Friendship Buff.

I keep thinking this team is a star away from being something special. They kinda have the structure and role players you want. Maybe another guy who can come off the bench and knock down some shots when you need some life.

Only thing really missing…other than a superstar…is a bigger wing defender. As there are monster in this league who can just shoot over Hart / Grimes / Quickley / Barrett and we don’t have an answer for them unless Julius suddenly starts defending like he did the last time he was an allstar.

But yeah, Hart & Brunson are too cute together. I’ve suddenly come to terms with Grimes being used to bring Anunoby in

Why the Nets will never be like the Knicks and their insane fans;
Watched the Knicks at Bullets game last night.
No surprise that there were “Let’s Go Knicks”
chants but the memory to boo Porzingus ( not that I had s problem with him) was astounding.

Lets wait a couple of years and see how Nets fans treat Harden Kyrie and KD on their return. One of them will likely not be so appreciated.

I’m sure they will in Brooklyn and deservedly so,
But the Knicks fans were booing him in DC not in MSG.
I know it’s a far piece and I’d be very surprised if there are enough Nets fans in Phoenix or Dallas to boo those two when the Nets play in Phoenix or Dallas or wherever the hell those teo Uber-talented bums end up playing for.

I was bouncing back and forth with the Knicks and Nets last night.
Did Bostons collective brain fall out or what??? WTF?
And the 4th of Knicks Heat was outstanding to watch.

Knicks are kind of entering that territory where you start questioning if they're in the same realm of Boston and Philly. Philly is a bad matchup, but I don't think they're that much better.

The Bucks are still the cream of the crop. That team is going to the finals IMO. It would not shock me if the Knicks get there. It probably won't happen, but it's something you could see.

Knicks look like a good basketball team.
Couldn’t have happened but just imagine Durant at small forward instead of Barrett.
Boy, I sure don’t miss Carmelo.

What a game from IQ. League high in minutes played last night at 55 and looked like he could have gone another 20.

They could beat Cleveland in round 1. Wouldn’t be the favorite but it wouldn’t shock anyone. Round 2 would be matchup dependent entirely.

Bucks - no chance
Celts - I like the coaching advantage
Philly - no answer for Embiid but that team is mentally weak and Harden could check out

Philly has the toughest schedule of all eastern conference playoff teams (top 6), then it is Milwaukee. There is a road for Boston to get the 1 seed, but there is also a possibility that Philly could fall off and a team like Cleveland or the Knicks surpass them.

The Knicks do need to surpass Cleveland though. I am not sure that the Knicks can win a best of 7 with Cleveland having home court. Yes, they're one of the best road teams, but the Cavs are flat out one of the best home teams. Have the same home record as Golden State (27-7). Cavs are 13-19 on the road. I do think the Knicks have a deeper team than the Cavs, but Mitchell can take over the series to match that depth. Either way, it's going to be a very fun series.

I listened to such a bad take on the FAN I almost called in for the first time ever. Someone was filling in for Keith McPherson, which off the bat you know the fill in is going to come up with the worst take you’ve ever heard, but he kept on harping on the fact that as well as the Knicks have played, they still don’t have that big time superstar, which of course we all know, but he was just so damn negative and talking about trading away all these players and whatnot.

It was essentially calling for the same thing we’ve seen from the Knicks time and time again, which is build a loser and hope a superstar comes here. This is the first time I could remember in a long time that any New York sports team built slowly and through development. Now they’re the talk of the league and maybe one of these stars says “you know what? I want to go to the Knicks.” But you couldn’t get there without the drafting, developing, adding key players, trusting the coach, etc.

My question is, how is Randle not a star? He scores from everywhere and drops 40 and 10 rebounds like I drop my cereal in my bowl in the morning. He makes it look hard yes, but he hustles and scores.

I think the Knicks are kind of in the same realm as the Rangers.

If they made the Finals I would be like "ok..." and if they got knocked out in round 1 I would be like "ok..."

The Knicks are very good tho and trending upward.
