Brunson's really been a godsend. We needed a lead guard badly and he's the perfect complement to Randle, won't always go off in the first but we can bank on him showing out in the second. He's really good at sensing when the team just needs a bucket and some calm at the wheel.

Rough games from our kids, other than Obi, but it should be a long series. So hopefully they can adapt & get going as well. Julius was huge in the first while JB was out with foul-trouble, but he got wild in the second half.

At some point, I'd try McBride on Mitchell because he could have the quickness and combativeness to throw Spida off. But maybe we just need to accept that Mitchell is going to go off and do a better job on his supporting cast

I mean if the NBA really wants to stop this behavior they need more than fines.

They don't, Dallas was just really blatant about it.

I’d be happy if the league told Dallas they had to convey that pick to the Knicks this year (assuming they don’t win the lottery)

But they won’t. They’ll fine owners all day but the minute they tet real punishments, the owners will be going to court like Kraft and the Pats.

Yea there’s 2 more years I believe. Top 10 protected.

Correct, the protections on the picks we're owed are:

DAL '23 (1-10), '24 (1-10), '25 (1-10)
WAS '23 (1-14), '24 (1-12), '25 (1-10), '26 (1-8)
DET '23 (1-18), '24 (1-18), '25 (1-13), '26 (1-11), '27 (1-9)

MIL '25 (1-5)

There was a lot of moaning about the officiating. But I think the refs let them play right up to the point they were getting nasty.
They did a good job.
The Knicks looked gassed a few times but the Mavs did not have another gear.

A complete no show, RJ is 6-25 in the first two games. Grimes is 1-6 in the first two games.

It’s not going to look great if they lose to Mitchell, and those two would have been the main guys going in the trade for him.

Having said that 1-1 after two, lets get back to Cleveland at least at 2-2.

I increasingly doubt RJs future here. With his Canadian heritage, could very much see him going in some kind of package for one of Toronto's stars.

Those are the kind of games that make it hard to give up on RJ. He gets to the rim/line so damn well and has good vision. He just has to become an efficient enough scorer to take advantage of that regularly.

Clip from game 3, but I thought this was a cool example of Mitch doing Mitch things defensively

I think Randle is still hurt and it limits his mobility, thus the awful shots.

If he was playing the way he could, man, it really makes you think given how wide open everything is this year.
