It’s kinda upsetting. That the O’s are doing nothing. A top SP and or a top RP (or even a big bat) would’ve augmented the team nicely.

I mean, I get not spending our WAD of nuts on rentals etc…. But the pitchers are tiring and it seems reserves are needed.

This seems “chicken shit little” to me.
I stand to correct myself. And the prospects they have up are not what you’d consider “top 10”. But one never knows. Could be some gems in there

I don't dislike the deal for Flaherty. Any decent pitching addition will help keep innings off the best 5, let them rest guys a bit.

The whole 'not a top 10 prospect' thing bugs me though. Since the Os farm system is so good and deep, those guys very well might be top 10 on another team. MLB Pipeline put Prieto into the Cardinals top 10 (and they also have a good prospect base). Yes, he was disposable for the Os given who they have ahead of him and I have no issues trading him, but he's still highly likely to be a consistent MLB contributor.
Hell, according to FanGraphs the Os #12 prospect (Jud Fabian) is better than the Cards #6 (Michael McGreevy).

But I still wanted a stud or multi year controllable almost stud.

Nats should have traded Lane Thomas. He's not as good as his numbers this year suggest. They aren't likely to be playoff competitive in the next year or 2, so should be trading anything of value. Hell if I were them I would've seen if anyone was willing to pay up for Gore or Gray. (I acknowledge that may have actually happened and never was reported publicly.)

K back to vacation.

As far a Thomas he's still controlled for two years. I suspect they didn't like the offers. If he has another solid year next year his value could be higher.

Dylan Crews is set to make his FredNats debut THIS SATURDAY!

Get your seats NOW before they're gone at frednats.com/tickets.

The Nationals' first round pick, and the second overall selection in this year's draft, is set to take the field for the FredNats on Saturday night.
Gates will open at 5pm, with first pitch at 6:05pm. Saturday is Superman Night, with the team wearing custom jerseys.

Don't miss your chance to see Crews' debut!

Flaherty looking good on the mound for the O's

I kind of like the low-key move...don't overly disrupt the tight clubhouse and momentum.

If I read the return correct it sounded like just flipping minor leaguers they got from other teams. Not drafted players.

Looking forward to seeing if Beal can be dominant again as a 3rd scoring option with others drawing defensive coverages.
Nah. I’m not.

I loathe Mat Ishbia. He’s an unscrupulous turd. I want nothing more than to see his prized new toy, fail miserably.

And before anyone gives me some inane “what, did he steal your girlfriend” crap, I am in the same industry as he is. I’ve seen the shit he pulls. He’s a total and complete phony.

I remember watching this live. 30 years seems like yesterday. Even crazier, I am the same age today as Ryan was then, 46.

I also recall watching live…..Ryan was an all time favorite of mine. What a horse….. he gave Ventura the business lol….

Ahh well….I’m not caught up in all that. Hoping Beal does well is all.

I wish I was 46.

Ryan was the man. I think best pitcher ever.

Didn’t expect you to be. But I’m rooting against Beal. Due to his team.

I wish he’d ended up in Sacramento. That would’ve be a lot of fun.

Dylan Crews and the FredNats were down 7-0 in the ninth and tied it up. Crews could bat twice this inning.
