Phillies lost game 5 and I doubt go into Houston and win 2.

Nothing more satisfying than watching the hopes of the entire city of Philadlephia dashed to pieces :D

Saying he is “unfit to be associated with the Brooklyn Nets” after the team gave him multiple chances to “unequivocally say he has no antisemitic beliefs” and to “acknowledge specific, hateful material” in a film he promoted on Twitter, the Nets have suspended Kyrie Irving.

This is at least a five-game suspension without pay and will remain in place “until he satisfies a series of objective remedial measures that address the harmful impact of his conduct.”

can’t wait for this crackpot to be out of the league….

Bubba shits on the poor-mouthing by some LIV players regarding guaranteed money, stating what we all knew anyway about large sums of sponsor cash seeding the player pool at PGA events.
Interesting read…behind closed doors payments, just rolled into a contract somewhere the PGA Tour can’t see it.

look at the money difference still! DJ just made almost half his 15 YEAR PGA Tour haul in one season.

Uihlein made 3x his 10 year PGA $ !!!

So what if the Nets blow it up. KD wants out and Kyrie might bet out of the league soon.

KD does not have a NTC what would the Wiz need to offer to get him? I would pretty much trade anything we have to get KD

Wizards are one of the most mediocre teams in the NBA and there's nothing they can do about it. "Ted should spend more." HE'S ALREADY SPENDING AS MUCH AS HE CAN, NOBODY WANTS TO PLAY HERE

Ehh. He's using his money awfully. If he'd have been willing to bottom out and then spend the same money I bet he'd end up with a better team. Beal at 50 million is just an awful investment.

Hilarious and predictable (and wrong) response. Maybe they could just, you know, build a better team. Pick better players. Make better choices. Normal GM shit.

Tommy did a great job in shifting some boat anchor contracts, but he’s been average at best at the rest of his job.

Blaming our market for their woes, or that somehow the league is setup for them to fail is a massive cop out. They could be soooooo much better at their jobs as an organization.

They can't no star would come here
That has what to do with drafting, player development, making trades, making coaching decisions, etc? Their top 10 pick looked completely lost in the preseason and was a DNP-CD for the season until he was just assigned to the G-league.

It’s wild you think signing superstars is the only way to build a team in the NBA. KD signed with Golden State after that team drafted and developed their own talent. Brooklyn signed a bunch of stars and they suck ass. LA won a fake bubble title and they’re also garbage. The Knicks haven’t been able to sign a marquee free agent in… a decade? More? Boston’s talent came through the draft — what superstar did they sign as a free agent?

Just enough with the excuses. Tommy deserves kudos for getting out of the Wall and Westbrook contracts but the rest of us tenure has been really uninspiring and now they’re literally in the worst position they could be in — bad enough to never have a chance of competing, not bad enough to draft at the top of the lottery. And their cap situation sucks. And all of this was completely predictable.

Phillies lost and Dusty won. Cool.

Is there anything that feels worse for a fan than getting to the championship and losing? I don't think so. Quite frankly I'd prefer my team miss the playoffs altogether.

When the Caps lost in '98, it did feel bad, though 1) Olie basically got them there 2) they got incredibly lucky with their playoffs draws (#5 seed Boston, #8 seed Ottawa, #6 seed Buffalo) and 3) Detroit was a monster of a team and put the Caps out of their misery quickly. Those three reasons softened the blow for me.

But generally speaking, nothing is worse. Think of the Vikings and Bills -- what are they known for? Getting to four SBs and getting clobbered. A championship loss is on your permanent record. Fans from other teams never forget it, and hound you for it forever. Its just about the worst feeling in sports.
