The point you’re trying to make is faulty though. Part of the dual National game is entrapment and luring poorer kids with money. If you’re trying to make that point you shouldn’t include players who are rich kids of an international footballer who played for the NT that called his kids up. Isn’t it like no shit? Of course they’re going to play for France and the tricks that countries use to bribe players to play for them don’t work because the Thuram kids are rich. So it’s a bad point
Okay then leave out Thuram and apply it to the 10 other people I listed. Not sure that's the point, regardless, unless you think that Nketiah was skint after signing a six year contract with Arsenal. I mean I didn't say a single word about money, so I'm not sure where you're coming up with that.

Literally the only point I'm trying to make is that France has called up plenty of dual nationals when they were young and so pretending like Germany is doing something outrageous with Pavlovic, or that it would be criticized if it were another team, is a specious argument.

It was also a pretty strawman argument to begin with that there is deep hatred on HF for calling up dual nationals. I think the only real instance I can think of is Nketiah, and that had specific circumstances.

Yeah see I thought it was a joke about German posters having made racist comments about dual nationals in the past. Italian posters have said it before too. More of a ‘lol now what?’

um Thuram most definitely played in the WC Final
He's playing on his brother's name while ignoring his statement had THURAM in it and as such he ONCE AGAIN made a fool of himself by adding I don't know who plays on my NT.

His brother certainly did.

Fair enough. There are plenty of other examples of France calling up potential dual nationals very early in their career. Camavinga, Saliba, WZE, Wesley Fofana, Badiashile, etc. Acting like France doesn't call up dual nationals while their young is a silly silly argument.
Nope they only did to players who showed they could play there. Since Domenech left at least.
Except if you want to argue WZE, Saliba, Camavinga, Fofana and co wouldn't just walk on any National team....

But of course you will.

Nah I think it was because I have made a decent amount of jokes on this board about how Spain will cap a dual national as long as they have a pulse just in case, and then I was pretty irritated when England called up Nketiah.

It's not exactly a secret that some "injuries" around international breaks are just because players need a break.
"We talkin' bout friendlies man! Friendlies"

It's also a part of the season deep into the grind when a lot of players are nursing injuries they don't wanna aggravate playing a game against Northern Ireland, I get it.

Serbia's best young player (Lazar Samardzic) was born in Germany and learned his football in our academies, playing for our youth NTs. One of their most promising teenagers (Jan-Carlo Simic) was also born & raised in Germany, learning his football in our academies.

So I don't get what would be so outrageous even if we did bring Pavlovic along to the euros. Kid's playing extremely well for one of the giants of European football, at a position where we do not have the same kind of depth that we do further up the pitch, and we've developed plenty of talent for the serbs already.

Of course he could regress from his current level, but that's a risk with any prospect whether he switches to Serbia or sticks with our NTs...and it's not like he'll be competing with Musiala / Wirtz / Darvich / Bischof / Gruda / etc. for a spot on our NT.

Atm our best options at the 6 are Emre Can, Robert Andrich, and Rani Khedira. Eric Martel is literally the only other 6 in our prospect pool who is currently playing 1st division football...and he's doing it for a relegation candidate.

Not to mention that Martel has also been used a lot as a RB by our youth NTs, so even he might not actually be a competitor for Pavlovic.

What about Reitz at Gladbach? Granted I've only seen him twice but I came away impressed both times.

I haven't watched BMG as much this season, but I like Reitz as well. Though he's much more of an 8; a kid who is combative, but who you want to have more freedom to push forward. He's most likely going to be battling Röhl for the midfield spot next to Martel for the U21s.

Sneaky b*******

I apologize for the potentially so so translation, tired so I did a Deep Copy/Pasta.

🚨 The FFF passed a note to the selectors: NO RAMADAN.

This was announced to the U20s at the last moment. Why at the last minute? Because the players were already on site, so they were caught unawares and decided to abide by the rule.

As for some of the U19s, they hadn't yet arrived as the gathering was on Monday.

For the time being, only Mahamadou Diawara (OL) has so far been withdrawn from the lists without communication, as he has been replaced on the list and has trained normally with OL today, given that OL has not at any time stipulated an injury.

The reason for this withdrawal? Mahamadou refused not to fast for 8 days, a decision that concerns only the player concerned, as long as he assumes his sporting responsibilities.

Beste has joined the growing list of players that have had to withdraw from this NT break. At this point we're left with:

FW: Füllkrug / Undav / Beier
AM: Wirtz / Musiala / Havertz / Führich / Müller
8: Gundogan / Kroos
6: Andrich / Groß
LWB: Raum / Mittelstädt
RB: Kimmich / Henrichs
CB: Rüdiger / Tah / Anton / Koch
GK: ter Stegen / Baumann / Leno

I'm thinking that against France we'll start the Stuttgart left flank with Musiala, Wirtz, & Füllkrug...although Müller or Havertz starting over Führich wouldn't be a surprise...with the Leverkuseners filling the lineup out around Gundo, Rüdi, & the free thinker:

Füllkrug
Führich - Wirtz - Musiala
Andrich - Gundogan
Mittelstädt - Tah - Rüdiger - Kimmich
ter Stegen

the attack is very good, midfield decent, CB's also decent. Lindelöf makes up for it imo and our wingbacks could be better. Overall this is a team that should be in the higher tiers of the Nations Leauge, just its the defencemen except Lindelöf that doesnt have the same quality as the other parts of the team.

Hope we are good under Tomasson, because these players talent have been held back enough. I want too see possession-based football
