Offense I think the idea has always been to play with Chiesa-Immobile-Zaniolo, but Raspadori as far as I'm concerned has proven to be very functional and to do well what Mancini wants.

Barella can't wing, hard to see Chiesa as a 9, i don't think Mancini wants to see Chiesa play with his back at the net.

I don’t either I was just trying to figure out a room for them all on the field together. With that being true one of that group has to sit most likely.

Depressed to even start thinking about this but Italy need to qualify for Euro ’24 convincingly or Mancini should be gone. Getting drawn with England after seeing some of the other groups has me skeptical already because losing out to Ukraine also wouldn’t shock me at all. That said, this along the lines of what I ultimately want to see:

Donnarumma

DiLorenzo - Bastoni - Scalvini - Dimarco/Spina/Parisi?

Tonali

Barella - Pellegrini

Chiesa - Zaniolo - Raspadori

Do you play three at the back? Can Zaniolo for once not get hurt? If it’s a 4 at the back, who’s the LB? How would you structure the midfield? Verratti in?

@Juve @Incubajerks @TheGreenTBer and anyone I forgot?
Midfield I'm less worried about, it's the finishing I'm concerned about because neither England nor Ukraine tend to allow for many chances. I can easily see a 0-0 PK loss to Ukraine.

Do we have the endurance to play 3 at the back for a sustained period? I'm not an expert, I don't know.

I thought Scamacca looked good against us in the NL. Is he not an option for Chiesa and Raspadori to play off of?
Obv. players play different for club than they do for country (with the caveat there that Scamacca hasn't had much time to look for his most recent club, so I'm basing off how good he was at Sassuolo), but I also would've thought that Scamacca would be the natural CF pick for Italy going into the 2024 cycle.

When I see you guys wanting to start Zaniolo over Grifo/Berardi I wonder if you're even Italian fans.

We’ve been waiting for Zaniolo so I don’t find it weird at all tbh. I’m fine starting either of the two you mentioned or Scamacca.

Grifo really just kind of came into the picture

That's on your coaches not noticing him, cause Grifo has been at this level for years now.

Grifo has been called up for 5 years, exactly in place of who he should have played? In this new cycle he will be able to have more space.

Yeah, Thuram is a "diver" you can keep him. Or so say some people here.

I meant the other Thuram lol. I'm fine with Moukoko / Havertz / Adeyemi / Weiper pushing Werner / Füllkrug / Nmecha for PT at the 9 (or false 9)...but we don't have anyone to back Kimmich or Goretzka up that I can feel good about at this level other than old man Ilkay

Oh I don't know...and I may have misunderstood what you meant...I was just saying that Grifo's been at a similar level for the better part of a decade. So if your coaches are just now realizing that he's good enough to help, that's not because he has just now become this good.

This is the team I'd pick right now (not for EU 24 obviously as some of these players might be too old for that). But if I'd have a decisive match tomorrow:

Donnarumma (Vicario)(Provedel)

Di Lorenzo (Calabria)
Bonucci (Romagnoli)
Izzo (Bastoni)
Di Marco (Biraghi)

Jorginho (Tonali)
Verratti (Locatelli)
Pellegrini (Barella)

Berardi (Bernardeschi)
Immobile (Borini)
Grifo (Insigne)

extras: Zaccagni, Meret, Cristante

No Chiesa yet, I need to see him play a bit after his injuries.

Borini must be a typo

Yeah, that's a pen. And compared to the Di Maria one, that's the mother of all penalties.
Yet on this site people are still saying he dove.
And people on Twitter salute the ref for giving a card for diving on a REAL foul.

Not really, he's living quite the resurgence in Turkey as a center forward (I know, as suprised as you are). Currently rated second best player there this season, smack dab between world cup heroes Enner Valencia and Weghorst. And I'd rather take a forward in form from a lesser league than someone struggling in a top 5 league.

It’s not a penalty Thurman dangles his leg to create contact…

Why are you guys not taking about Upa’s volleyball to Mbappe… pretty obvious it doesn’t fit your agenda.

1/ you're still looking at the wrong leg.
2/ he never touched the ball with his hand as all the other angles prove.

1 not a penalty… and Alexis had more contact but again… crickets

And two he did from the replays I saw. Feel free to find those angles.

2 days later and you can’t admit france were 2nd best. Honestly shameful

1/ Totally a penalty since he hit his foot. The Alexis argument was hilarious yesterday, it still is today.
2/ you're lying, there's not a single angle where there's a doubt he heads it.

I won't admit anything since it was never the debate here (and 2nd best on penalties doesn't mean much BTW). Shameful that you're trying to divert the conversation.

The way things look now, I think I'd pick something like:

GK: ter Stegen | Trapp

RB: Klostermann | Knauff/Baku
CB: Süle | Bella Kotchap
CB: Rüdiger | Schlotterbeck
LB: Raum | Gosens/Netz/Rothe

CM: Kimmich | Gundogan
AM: Musiala | Goretzka
AM: Wirtz | Brandt/Neuhaus/Burkardt*

RW: Havertz | Gnabry
FW: Moukoko | Werner
LW: Sane | Adeyemi/Schade
+
FW: Füllkrug / Nmecha / Weiper / Beier
CM: Arnold / Andrich / Groß / Stach / Janelt / Stiller / Breithaupt / Martel / Krauß
CB: Ginter / Kehrer / Tah / Thiaw / Dardai
GK: Ortega / Baumann / Leno / Nübel / Atubolu

*Wanner / Samardzic / Damar / Ibrahimovic / Bischof / Raebiger / Krattenmacher / Wenig / Ulrich

Tempted to play 4 CBs with Schlotterbeck opposite Klostermann...although a Nagelsmann-style 3-1-4-2, with Sane/Adeyemi and Gnabry/Knauff as the wingbacks, could be fun too.

We can discuss the reffing without saying Argentina didn't deserve. Which I've done multiple times.
Yet you can't discuss the reffing without implying I mean Argentina didn't deserve, which I've stated otherwise a dozen times.

As for your "evidences", you have provided nothing. You've provided an angle that is hard to tell when there are tons of evidence everywhere on Twitter than it was a head and not a hand.
