*roleYa and when Ronaldo does it in Luxembourg you’re on your knees. Know your roll jabroni
Ronaldo fans don't go on a circle jerk for goals against the minnows like Messi fans.
Agreed.
Question, I missed out on the game and just saw the highlights. Did u get the opportunity to see the game?
With us getting closer to the World Cup, how'd Alvarez and Gomez look? How as Lisandro? Mac Allister?
Will be interesting to see what our World Cup team will look like. But after Finalissima and Copa I have a hard time taking out Di Maria and Lautaro out of the lineup.
I was speaking of this board.LOOL do you know every Ronaldo fan? Thats a complete fabrication and you know.
You see Otamendi over Lisandro?LOOL do you know every Ronaldo fan? Thats a complete fabrication and you know. Trump like but considering the source I aint surprised. Enjoy Ronaldo scoring in the conference league... should get accustomed to minnows.
yeah, I watched the first half. hard to take much away for the defenders I personally rate Martinez this he's class and should start once the WC is over. Alvarez had his moments but I wish he got more of the ball. He's a lethal finisher and I think he could be important come November. Gomez was really good but he's always been a delight to watch. Mac All-star was playing DM so cant blame him for not showing too much. Although I dont think he should make the WC team. Better options available. Lautaro is a starter no one has scored more goals than him for Argentina under Scaloni. He would never be dropped unless hes injured. ADM I would love for Scaloni to utilise him like he did in the Copa. Start him off the bench sparingly until you really need him. Given his injuries and age Scaloni's usage of him was a big reason why they won the Copa. Im not concerned at all. The starting 11 will most likely be this
Nico-Lautaro-Messi
Lo Celso-RDP
Paredes
Acuna-Otamendi-Cuti-Molina
Emi
With ADM starting those big games and being the super sub. Montiel interchanagble with Molina.
It was four backups and a fourth string goalie, to be fair.Valverde, Cavani, and Vecino all coming in and nobody good coming out.
Our defense sucks. All over the place with Miles Robinson out.
I mean I kind of have my doubts that Zimmerman will be on the bench but three backups 100%.It was four backups and a fourth string goalie, to be fair.
Goat33 games without a loss 3 years.
Messi
Messi
Messi
Messi
Messi.
He is eternal
I agree. I don’t think the coach is going to bench him, but I’d have the European guys ahead of him. MLS is not a top league. I think those guys playing in the best leagues are better equipped in a short tournament than a guy who rarely faces good competition. I’d also use it as an ultimatum to players like Zimmerman. If you want to play for the National Team, you don’t get to live in Nashville. Go live in Leeds or Stuttgart. Tyler Adams lives in Leipzig. Sometimes you have to be out of your comfort zone to get better.I mean I kind of have my doubts that Zimmerman will be on the bench but three backups 100%.

As much as it will disappoint some, he's likely our first call CB at this point, so would definitely be surprising for him to be on the bench.I mean I kind of have my doubts that Zimmerman will be on the bench but three backups 100%.
And as usually you are wrong. But you know that... well maybe you dont. Im here to help regardless.I was speaking of this board.
I dont necessarily agree with it but there's no way Otamendi is dropped barring injury. He's earned that right with his play the past 18 months for Argentina. He's simply been too good as a tandem with Cuti. I suspect Lisandro would be better suited there but you cant drop him why fix what isn't broken. THey're on a run that stretches 3 years now. Eli, Cuti and Otamendi haven't conceded a goal when they play together. Ill have to double check that but last I checked they haven't.You see Otamendi over Lisandro?
Pretty much but Palacios' spot is secure if he's healthy in november. It will be one of A.Correa or Dybala for the last spot. Personally I think it should be Correa given his play for club recently. Agreed with Pezzella simply not good enough. Otamendi, Cuti, Lisandro, Senesi, medina, other Martinez are all better than him. Not sure why Scaloni keeps calling him up.That makes sense to me.
Nico was the most frustrating player to me in Copa. He makes excellent runs, but he lacks finishing. If we can find an ideal LW that would be great.
Otamendi's age and pace worries me. But that being said I found he's really played well with Argentina recently. Outside of his yellow I found he played solid defensively vs Italy, and was great at the end of copa. I'm happy that we finally have guys like Lisandro and Martinez Quarta that can replace him if needed.
I think this might be the best team Messi has ever played on coming into a wc.
------
This is my ideal 23 man roster. (I've added 3 extras as there is rumours of a 26 man roster expansion.
Forwards: Messi, Lautaro, Dybala, Nico, Alvarez, A. Correa,
Midfielders: Di Maria, RDP, Lo Celso, Paredes, Gomez, Guido,
Defence: Acuna, Tagliafico, Romero, Otamendi, Martinez Quarta, Lisandro, Molina, Montiel
Goalies: Emi, Rulli, Musso
Extra 3 - One of: J. Correa, Simeone one of: Ocampos, L. Romero, Buendia or Dominguez, One of: Senesi, Perez or Medina,
*Correa is the likely choice by Scaloni, I think Simeone has shown the most this year domestically.
*Ocampos is very versatile, can play the wing and midfield. Dominguez is a guy were familiar seeing although I am not a fan. Buendia is my favourite out of the likely candidates. Luka Romero is a pipe dream but wow is he talented.
*Really hoping Scaloni leaves off Pezzella but that's extremely unlikely.
I think this might be the best team Messi has ever played on coming into a wc.
You're literally the biggest Messi fan boy here...And as usually you are wrong. But you know that... well maybe you dont. Im here to help regardless.
You say that like its an insult... you think this bothers me? I wear it as a badge of honour. You're literally the biggest Messi fan boy here...
You're supposed to constantly nitpick and overanalyze your countries top athletes on this site! You say that like its an insult... you think this bothers me? I wear it as a badge of honour.
Argentina is winning the World Cup. What an unreal atmosphere, group of players, coaches and fans.
Also, di Maria = underrated.
You say that like its an insult... you think this bothers me? I wear it as a badge of honour.
I was present. The experience is something else. To be in with the Argentina fans singing , leaping up and down and singing the songs. Beautiful fans like a big family. El mejor hinchada del mundo
Yes Italy are going to be in a rebuild but nonetheless this Argentina side is organized. Organized. Unlike the shambles in 2018.
There is a strong spine. Emi-Romero-de Paul-Martinez.
The crucial things for La Scaloneta are looking at the rest of the squad. So who replaces Emi if god forbid he is injured. It should not be Armani or Rulli. Benitez at Nice or Musso especially if he can get a full pre-season or even Ledesma at Cadiz.
Angel Correa over Tucu. Enzo Fernandez surely has to come into the squad as well and Dybala too.
GK: E.Martinez, Benitez, Musso
DF: Molina, Foyth, Romero, Otamendi, Li.Martinez, Senesi, Acuna, Tagliafico
MF: G.Rodriguez, Paredes, Lo Celso, de Paul, di Maria, Fernandez, Gomez
FW: La.Martinez, Alvarez, Dybala, A.Correa, Messi
Reserves, N.Dominguez, Palacio, Medina
Scaloni can still be a little slow with his changes, That needs working on.
You're literally the biggest Messi fan boy here...
No, I'm saying it as fact. You say that as an insult. If you like football you can't be anything else but a Messi fan. And this is coming from someone who also loves Cristiano (the player) for the same reasons.
