Low was trash... im just giving it @cgf after all the Euro snobs and Mpabbe's comments its nice to win one. Losing one game isn't really a big deal... like at all.
No, it’s not a big deal, but aside from hammering portugal at the last Euro, which is just gonna happen with Germany v Portugal games, Germany have been embarrassing for six years now. Historically embarrassing at The 2018 World Cup, losing qualifiers at home to C level nations, getting relegated grok The top tier teams in friendly tournament, letting England bend them over in tournament knocks match.

First of all Hungary is a better side than the US. Second of all, this was England's B team

No they aren't, yes this was England's B team, but yes we do have a chance to take three points from England. Every single team in the Euros looked vulnerable enough to drop three points if they played against a team that played well.

Scotland is also a level below the US and nearly took three points from them away from home.

Anyone has a chance to beat England at a World Cup, it’s England at a World Cup.
Also literally the only team not vulnerable at the last WC was Croatia. One of the giants always wins but the rest of the world has done a lot of catching up.

And really at the 2014 WC it was kind of the same thing, there's no guarantees anymore. We are also vulnerable to all the teams we play sooooooo.

The problem with this edition is the timing, playing four games in 10 days ffs after already a long season where the players barely got a break after the Covid season
Yeah this didn't feel like 'gloried friendlies' during the last edition.

I think the format of the Nations League better demonstrates who the best team in Europe is than the European Championship.

Yes shit happens, but odds say England tops the group 9/10 times and actually Iran finishing 2nd above the US isn't too farfetched as well.

I would say it's about 90% that two of Ukraine, England, US qualify. Then it's about 75% that England is one of them. Ukraine and US about even and of course I just said Iran has a 10% chance of qualifying too.

…our weakest team in a generation almost beat almighty England at their peak, not sure I see the need to panic; especially now that we are back on the upswing.

75% is an underestimation, I'd say it's at least 90% that England gets out of the group. None of the other four (don't know why you're dismissing Wales) are close to them.

England played every group game at home and scored 2 goals just last year. I can't consider a team like that as a 90% statistical likelihood.

Both England, Ukraine and Hungary are vastly superior to the USA, anything can happen in soccer but I just don't understand all this confidence for the US team.

Called off

5 minutes in and it’s already obvious the ref is going to be a control freak and a huge story in this game.
The fact the Ukranians didn't put up much of a protest suggests they knew it was the correct call.

Also why is this match not being played at the Millennium Stadium (or whatever it's called these days)?

I think it’s more they knew it wasn’t worth it. I wasn’t even only talking about the goal. It seems before every set piece he has to stop and say something which is f***ing wild because he’s letting so many fouls in open play go.

Norway already lost once today. Let’s handle our little brother a second one! Can’t lose against them the day before our national day.

We have to play like our 9th choice CB against Haaland. I’m not optimistic. The new system needs work. I would be confident if not for a formation change that will take time to adjust to.

Have some faith in the magic at Friends. It’s a fortress. But i get it. It’s not an ideal situation at the back. Would be fun to see a highscoring game for once.
