Why torture yourself?

Another putrid display from Portugal. Amazing how players show up from their clubs and lose all semblance of form and skill.

Spain lack a clinical attack, otherwise Enrique has done a fantastic job renovating the team.
By coincidence I was in Seville, so why not.

Completely agree with that, Portugal don’t effectively play as a team which is crazy to me. Bruno was the worst player on the pitch.
Spain is fantastic but imo lack that world class ‘take over game’ player

Is this thread about UEFA nations league? I'm watching the spain/portugal match now and don't want to read a spoiler.

Anyone watch that polish / wales match the other day? Was one hella physical hard fought match. Why does Gareth Bale just sit now? He have an injury? He was on point for that WC qualifier where he scored. Haven't seen him play since.

I watched that one (let's go Polska!!!). Very good game that went down to the wire. Poland should've been a bit tidier earlier in the match to put it away before the Swiderski goal. I believe Bale is being incubated for Sunday's World Cup playoff against Ukraine.

Hope is a dangerous thing…

I have more than hope... i have conviction. Sure it anything can happen from now until the tournament but if they stay healthy (Romero, Emi, ADM) then they will be tough to beat. It would take something special to beat them. They are not the most talented team but I keep saying no one will work harder, no one is drilled better, coached better or have the same mentality. They are very much like Liverpool. Refusing to lose. its legit 11 psychopaths on the pitch where they would die for one another. Messi is the leader in particular Emi, RDP and Cuti would go through a wall if Messi told them to.

France can out gun them absolutely but its only France and given their two coaches it's not likely to happen. The rest are more than beatable.
Has it gotten so bad that you now call losing to the germans in a final "winning the World Cup"? :sarcasm:
They would legitimately stomp on the chest of Germany. They walk all over them.
Best of luck to Argentina. May the best team win.

They shall.

Somewhere @Duchene2MacKinnon is reading this quote and smiling through tears.

He says this every time he can. Biggest Messi fanboy.

Yep and they are going to go undefeated with a +25 goal differential.

Right @Duchene2MacKinnon

Probably if not more.

One last thought Messi showed again why he's still one of the best in the world. Hoping next year he can crack the top 5 in the HF draft. LOOOOL love you guys but hilarious and some of the defenders ahead of cuti makes me feel as though people watch twitter more than they watch football. Thems the breaks i guess.

It's important to have dreams :sarcasm:
Are you rolling with sule, hummels again and still starting Nuer’s ghost? I feel like this is werner klose 2.0. Let’s not forget the run up to 2018. And yet germany are still carrying their former elite players like it’s 2014.

Portugal’s struggle have everything to do with Santos and his coaching. They need a better manager. I know he won them a Euro but he’s holding them back with his tactics.

Just Neuer's corpse left to remove from the starting 11...luckily Süle & Schlotterbeck are so dominant that not even Neuer clinging to the job can stop us. Süle's been such a force that he's even making Kehrer look legit when they play together for the NT :yo:

We're probably going to be starting those 3 CBs* + a FB (Raum, Baku, Gosens, Hofmann) behind Kimmich-Goretzka & four of: Sane, Gnabry, Havertz, Musiala, Adeyemi, Werner, Müller, Nmecha / Burkardt / Schade.

*though I'm still rooting for Klostermann to take Kehrer's spot...especially if we opt for Raum or Gosens as the FB.

Lots of fresh, young faces in the Croatian starting 11 today. Hasn’t done them any good as of yet.

Bruges, Belgium
Bergwijn with a great shot to open the scoring.

Hazard looks so bad and so slow. Hard to see him ever getting back even close to his best level. Wonder if he's gonna continue vacationing in Madrid because he's got no chance of getting in that lineup again. Not with all the young players Madrid have.
He'd be best of going to a Sevilla or something but probably won't for Financial reasons alone.
