Then and there
Ugh... I'm sick of Tunisia at World Cups. Sick of it so please give us Mali.

Yaeh, Tunisia have been very unlikeable in all the WCs they've participated. They offer very little going forward, play scared and boring football. Compared to pretty much any decent sub-Saharan country, you don't want see them to make it. Mali probably wouldn't achieve much either, but their matches would likely be more interesting and eventful.

France
Italy is horrible indeed. Portugal has a history too. But the worst is Italy since racists there say France's black players are "africans".

Unfortunately, too many italians do that to their own black players too. Italy is a beautiful place, but I really had to struggle to enjoy my time there because of some of the people I ran into those first few days. From the number of open racists to the creepy men grabbing at waitresses like it was an episode of Mad Men, it took the better part of a week for the bad taste to leave my mouth & I could start enjoying the history, beauty, and tinder-tour-guides.

I used to spend more time following the Ghana prospect pool, don't really do that nowadays. Looking at this there is some potential for the next generation if they an get things right with recruitment;

Just for fun, I'd love to see Flick try a version of the 3-2-5/3-3-4 Nagelsmann has used with Bayern. Something like:

Havertz
Wirtz/Musiala - Sane
Adeyemi - Kimmich - Goretzka - Gnabry
Schlotterbeck - Süle - Kehrer
Though given how little time NTs have to practice together, realistically, we should probably stick with:

(4-2-3-1/4-2-4)
Havertz/Adeyemi/Werner
Sane - Wirtz/Musiala/Müller - Gnabry
Kimmich - Goretzka
Kehrer/Gosens/Raum - Kehrer/Schlotterbeck - Süle - Kehrer/Baku/Hofmann

or

(3-4-3/3-4-2-1)
Havertz/Adeyemi/Werner
Sane - Gnabry/Wirtz/Musiala/Müller
Gosens/Raum - Kimmich - Goretzka - Baku/Hofmann
Schlotterbeck - Süle - Kehrer

Scaloni has included several teenagers in his preliminary squad for the final WCQ games. Matias Soulé (18, Juve); Luka Romero (17, Lazio); Nicolas Paz (17, Real Madrid); Tiago Geralnik (18, Villarreal); Alejandro Garnacho (17, Man Utd) and the brothers Carboni (sons Ezequiel Carboni) Valentin (17) and Franco (18) both are playing at Inter.

I feel slightly anxious when I watch Eriksen play. Happy to see him back with the NT though, great comeback story!
