Long-term, I'm content that both Wilsby and Stastney are NHL Players. They may not have huge upside. But they are players. They are also both LD. And don't have ideal size. So we aren't talking any great impact here, just they should always be in the NHL somewhere at least on a 3rd pair, just due to their skating ability and intelligence.
Barron? Still a total wildcard IMO. But since he's RD, he's not really competing with Wilsby/Stastney anyway. He WANTS to contribute more offensively, but it's questionable whether he really can at the NHL level since his skill level isn't there. He has better size, but needs to learn to use it. If he can ever settle into playing more conservatively and change his approach, he has the tools. I still peg him around 50/50 to do that. So far in a small sample he has been alright. But I'd still rank him behind Stastney and Wilsby as NHL players overall.
