How many boneheaded plays does Josi make per game?
Aren't nightcrawlers boneless?

Barron seems to be good for at least one extremely bone-headed decision per game, but if somehow that can get coached out of him, he might develop into a serviceable player. He has a lot of physical talents but might need to get a little bit meaner as well.
Don't forget he has a very fine neck.

I suppose so. Surely no one is calling him that anymore, right?
I haven't heard it in a while.

Always thought it was absurd to call someone an earthworm to emphasize how fast he was. I mean, why not "Look at him go! He's zooming around the rink like a sloth! Hold my laundry!"

Seriously, it's good standup, but bad sportscasting.

Wait, is this sarcasm or do you not know the X-Men reference? 🤔

I think he has improved since getting here. He is our youngest NHL defenseman at 23. He definitely has some areas that need work but outside of Fabbro most of our recent NHL dmen didnt really start getting NHL games until they were 24/25. I hope we can develop him because you get some glimpses here and there of good potential

Good move to qualify the Preds "develop" with the word HOPE.

How'd barron look last game beside josi? And do people prefer barron or wilsby long-term?
Long-term, I'm content that both Wilsby and Stastney are NHL Players. They may not have huge upside. But they are players. They are also both LD. And don't have ideal size. So we aren't talking any great impact here, just they should always be in the NHL somewhere at least on a 3rd pair, just due to their skating ability and intelligence.

Barron? Still a total wildcard IMO. But since he's RD, he's not really competing with Wilsby/Stastney anyway. He WANTS to contribute more offensively, but it's questionable whether he really can at the NHL level since his skill level isn't there. He has better size, but needs to learn to use it. If he can ever settle into playing more conservatively and change his approach, he has the tools. I still peg him around 50/50 to do that. So far in a small sample he has been alright. But I'd still rank him behind Stastney and Wilsby as NHL players overall. :dunno:
