When would be the appropriate date to start whining about why we didn’t give Karl Taylor the HC job? Don’t want to jump the gun like the “sellers not buyers” crowd. They are a bit early. Asking for a friend.
I don't think we can crap on Brunette at this point. This is still better than expected and Taylor has the benefit of a shitload of top end(as far as the AHL goes) talent.

With carrier not returning to tonight's game, do we get a callup with only one game left before the all-star game or do we get Barrie? Id like to get Stastney personally and have Barrie continue to ride the pressbox.

We couldn't get lucky enough to get a call up. I think they will just play Barrie.

Got hit by Norris in the 1st period and his head went straight into the boards. It clearly stunned him and I was surprised they didn't pull him quicker.
He was concussed last season as well right? On the Kaprizov hit?

Edit: or was that earlier this season?

Earlier this season i believe
No bueno. I know he's got his detractors on here but I still think he's been solid for us this year and worlds better than having to run the other options with him out, minus Stastney. Would prefer they are both in the lineup than him only getting minutes to injury.

He's a solid 2nd pairing dman. My concern with him is durability going forward. My preference is to keep him and fabbro and jettison schenn and barrie. Out of all the current rhd we have, i think Carrier is the most likely to return next season unless there is a contract impass or a team gives us a trade offer we cant turn down. Fabbro just cant seem to please the coaching staff... part of his problem though is that i think he only really meshes well with josi and i think they really want a mcd josi pairing.

Stats don't say he only meshes with Josi..... He seems to work better with Josi than Schenn or Carrier.

Any interest in Kakko? He's apparently available. Of course there's a good chance he never becomes more than another two way bottom 6er that we always have a glut of but at 22 there's still a chance for more.

If the price is right sure but he is having a down right bad year. Draft pedigree can only carry you so far and we have so many RW fighting for spots and we already have more productive RWs sitting in the pressbox some nights for reasons unknown

With Chytil broken, theyre probably looking for a replacement center.... Glass? Theyve both been very underwhelming this season but due to age and injury history Glass is less valuable. Also due to injury history NYR likely doesn't want to touch.

Should probably get Tomasino back to the pressbox next game....

I kid... but he ended up with the least amount of TOI of all healthy players after having a productive game so it honestly might not be a stretch.

Not a guy you could lean on in a game where you blew a 3-goal lead. But Gurianov...

If Kakko was a Pred there would be posters offering him up for a 7th...or on waivers.
That's what i dont get.... our supposed best players were out there for most of the goals against. Nyquist in particular. I get being biased with ol' reliable but somehow going to freakin Gurianov in OT. What has he done to earn that? I wouldve been less caught off guard by Smith to honest
