So did we not make a coordinating move with Pärssinen getting sent down? Just didnt want him wasting away in the pressbox when he could be getting reps in the AHL?

Yup pretty much that. I heard assistant coach Richards on the radio this morning. They basically said they have confidence in Pars, they think he's a long term NHL'er, and they think he needs more minutes to get back to where he was last year....so they sent him down to get him running again.

Brunette also said yesterday that he had failed Parssinen by not putting him in a position to succeed and therefore he had lost his confidence.

That's likely mostly coachspeak to help out his confidence.. not that there's a problem with that.

I liked Evangelista's game more last night. I thought he was dangerous and I hope he's close to breaking through with some of these chances. He is still trying the extra move one too many times when he's triggering the play, but his positioning away from the puck last night seemed better to me. He had a couple prime scoring chances.

....also Saros is starting to play like we know he can with a .930 in his last 6 games. We have got to figure out this secondary scoring and we could have a chance to string together some games in front of Juice.

Luke's decision-making has been terrible lately. The upside is he's getting chances and leading rushes. You can almost hear him overthinking it whenever he's in a position to make a play. He's also getting separated from the puck too often when he pulls up and tries to loop around and center the puck.

All that said, he's visible and dangerous. He needs to get bigger and stop thinking so much.

He needs to get stronger on the puck, not necessarily bigger. Size doesn't equal strength.
100% agree. He can't dangle at full stick length in the big time. I saw that alone at least 2 times Minn game. Some of his teammate mentors need to take him aside and get him thinking the right way

When would be the appropriate date to start whining about why we didn’t give Karl Taylor the HC job? Don’t want to jump the gun like the “sellers not buyers” crowd. They are a bit early. Asking for a friend.

I mean I wanted Taylor to be hired probably about as much as anyone else around here and even I gotta say you gotta while to wait on that. I'm not even sold Brunette has the horses to do what he wants to do.

As much as we thought Taylor might be ready apparently the rest of the league didn't think so either. Not that it really means anything in long run.

You got a couple of years to wait at least, unless things just completely fall apart. I think Trotz knew he had some learning to do, and Brunette had some learning to do, the players had some learning to do, and by the time they get it all figured out things should be good to go.

Maybe we got the "best of both worlds"... ? I always wanted Taylor around in Milwaukee to develop our next crop... and got a little scared he was getting offers from other teams... meanwhile... if we can have him as a backup option while still doing all that good work... so much the better? :dunno:

He's only going to be there so long though, eventually someone is going to give him a shot. I mean even as bad as many of us thought Evanson was at developing talent he still go a shot. Granted it was the Wild, who apparently believe anything former Pred is worth taking a stab at.
