I know Stepan was not Crosby but I'm surprised at the issues I'm seeing chemistry wise with our lines. Hope we find more than 1 line a game soon.
 
Staal has been good. Maybe because of his partnership with Shattenkirk, maybe not, but I'm not hating it.

I think NY fans if not fans in general are a bit unrealistic. You could say most dislike almost every Knicks, Giants, Jets, Rangers, Yankees, and Mets coach after they have coached at least 4 years if not sooner.
 
I get the idea of using DeAngelo as a PP specialist in the 7 dman scheme, but I'm not confident that 5 mins/game is good for his development. Have to give him a few more shifts out there. That or send him down.

Buchnevich should get more time than he has as well.

Well that and developing other aspects of his game. I mean, we've put up with Staal and Girardi coughing up the puck for years, and even Smith does it quite often. Why is ok for vets but not for a guy still developing and clearly jas talent?

I agree with you that he has what it takes but I also did notice his offense comes alive a bit more when he isn't trailing the play by 30 feet. Its a catch 22 situation. The weird thing is Hayes has the same defensive responsibilities but somehow ends up ahead of everyone yelling for a pass for a breakaway a lot lol.
 
What's going on with Buchnevich? I had him penned down as having a breakout season. Been watching him close this season and see he's been limited to around 10 minutes of playing time the past 3 games,

Any insight on if he may still breakout or is he not looking too good out there?

He looks great in the offensive zone, as far as I'm concerned. I think the points will come for him as the team heats up. That is if AV elects to play him more than 10 minutes a game.

he came in hearing all this stuff about him sucking and the whole potential buyout scenario and took it all to heart. it's showing in his game and I absolutely agree that he's been good

He is playing better than last season but like Vesey, Buch is still a work in progress. He doesn't play the PK much so he will have less ice time in games like today where we spend a lot of time in the box.

Not going to complain about anything. Didn’t see the last 8 minutes because I was taking my daughter to her/our soccer game. We got smoked, 6-1. Was not a fun late afternoon, so I’ll take any Ranger win.

I think its a mistake putting Nash and Zucc togheter, they never seem to mesh well togheter. Nash just dangles all day, and is rarely open for Zucc when he wants to pass and play.
Put the KZB line back togheter, they had chemistry.
I wonder if a Vesey Miller Zucc line, or a Zucc Miller Fast line would be good.

But thats just me thinking. I feel we need another winger, or if we gonna use Miller on the wing, we need a better center then Cracknell.

Ah well, just my rambling thoughts.

Wonder coach AV doesn't trust him for some reason. Refuses to give him minutes. Stunting his game.

You guys have had AV as a coach. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out what is going on. :naughty:

Sending DeAngelo down is not an option.. He is without a doubt one of our best 6 dmen if not best 4. I know i am very high on him but i think everyone agrees hes been outstanding when given regular minutes.
