who even said they did this? He just said he thinks cheering for another player during a game should be reserved for legends like Lafleur not very good players like PK.

I think there are certain instances where cheering FOR PK Subban tonight is more than appropriate and expected, during the pre-game video tribute, during TV timeouts, if there's a break in play and the big screen captures PK Subban...

Cheer away...that's cool, he earned that.

But if he's bringing the puck up the ice and I hear PK! PK! PK!

I'm sorry, I can't get with that...

As long as Habs win the game, PK can score as many goals and do as many circles on the ice as he wants.

I hope PK is received well, and he will be no doubt...once the game starts, I would rather hear Carey, Carey, Carey...............we do not need the fans doing a PK PK chant, he is no longer a Hab...not his fault, I get that, but home ice and it's our team, let's hope they show it!!

Loved PK when he was here, wish he still was in many ways, but he is gone folks...Therrien, Bergevin and Molson are all responsible, and most of us will never forgive them, but nothing will ever be bigger than my support for the Habs, no matter who owns the team, manages the team, or coach's the team....

Let's hope the Habs can win in regulation tonight!!

and therein lies the reason, at least part of the reason, why he was moved.

Fans loved Richard. Fans loved Béliveau. Fans loved Lafleur. Fans loved Roy. Fans loved Koivu. Fans loved Subban. And fans love Price.

Seems like fans love great players, or players that define the franchise.

Maybe the perceived problematic of Subban becoming bigger than the team wouldn't have been too much of a problematic had the team made the steps to regain its greatness at any point over the past two decades.

Ironically enough, Subban's probably the guy that strived to accomplish that the most over that time frame.

Because his personal branding was getting bigger than the CH branding.

If that's true, which I highly doubt, it only signifies a failure of the team to adequately promote itself. For the most part, I'd just call that stance BS.

If we're losing and pk has a good game you can bet your house there will be pk chants. If we're winning there probably won't be.

6 full seasons in Montreal and he gets a tribute video? It's not a stretch to say he bacame bigger than the team. Davey was here just as long, will he get one next season if he manages to come back in another team's uniform?

Are you serious?
