It's considered a premium game. Pretty sure all Saturday night games at home as well, and then a couple of other games throughout the season. It's no more expensive than any other premium game.

Euhh, I am pretty sure that it's been announced that tonight's game is the most expensive game of the season. Habs are employing a new price surge ticket system. I read that somewhere.

May as well post this here as well where there's more traffic.

As of time of this posting the team plans to play a tribute video to PK tonight. They'll do that before the game at around 7:15 when the Bell Center is half empty. League standard is to do it at the first TV timeout as they did for Weber in Nashville.

The Canadiens box office is also allegedly charging more for this game than any other game of the season. More than Bruins, Crosby, McDavid, OV etc

"F you, PK, here's a tribute video nobody will see. And F you fans, you get to pay more than ever to see one of your former favorites play for the other team tonight."

This is your Montreal Canadiens. Embarrassing.

It won't be half empty...stop dramatizing it.

Shall I address the ridiculous comparison to what Lafleur accomplished as a Hab and what PK did (not counting what he did off the ice)???

Come on...

Well we don't really know what Subban might have accomplished as a Hab had he not been sent out of town on a rail. Fans have a right to cheer for whomever they like whether it assaults your sensibilities or not, especially when they're made to pay a premium for the opportunity. I think you should lighten up and accept that Subban's popularity was well earned.

Allegedly lol, what is that even mean? Prices for this game were cheaper than optium games like Blackhawks or Leafs/Sens on Saturday nights.

come on, it's his first game back about 245 days after the trade...of course you will hear PK PK PK chants. But that will probably be the only game...next year will be a different story

Impossible. It will happen all throughout the game. The man is loved by a big chunk of the fanbase still.

YUCK!

I loved PK as a Hab, by far my favorite player throughout his tenure here. But he's gone, i'll never chant his name while he plays against my favorite team.

If you're a fan wearing a Nashville Predators jersey tonight and you're chanting PK because you've now become a Preds fan...by all means, chant away.

But anyone wearing a Habs jersey and cheering PK tonight???...anyways, i'll keep my thoughts to myself.

Yeah, fans are all different. Like I said people are tied to emotions. You may be capable of separating that but a lot of fans cannot.

So because we did not win a cup therefore fans should just forget about him? What about the fact that a lot of the fans/younger fans relate to PK because he arguably has been the Franchise's most exciting on and off the ice. People are attached to emotions. Lord knows we haven't had a player bring this much emotion whether good or bad since we last won the cup. also forget to mention since at least Saku.

Has nothing to do with winning a Cup...

Just checked canadiens.com. It's not showing as an Optimum game, but it has the same ticket prices as next week's game against Chicago, which is Optimum.

But then it's a little more expensive than the game against Ottawa in a couple weeks that is also Optimum.

Who ****ing knows at this point...

My friend has season tickets in the greys, and he paid $150 for his pair of tickets.

So what is it then. I mean just for what he did to city alone off the ice, people can get behind him and have a hard time letting him go. Like I said not all fans are like you (not a bad thing).

Being told by a season ticket holder that this is the most expensive game of the regular season. Perhaps that includes other premium games, I do not have that info, but fans will not pay more for any other game this year, playoffs excluded of course.

Of course they do...and nowhere did I say that it assaults my sensibilities.

I've just always considered Habs fans the best fans in hockey...my opinion would seriously change should this happen tonight. I'd have to lump us all in with Sens fans, and there are fewer fanbases in all of sports that I have least respect for lol

As for me needing to 'lighten up' and accept that his popularity was well earned...I never said it wasn't earned, it certainly was.

I just can't respect a person who calls themselves a Habs fan, cheer for another player on another team, while they're playing the Habs.

You're not a Habs fan if you do that IMO.

But then again, if you or anyone else here falls into that category, I don't think you should care about my level of respect for you any way lol

I'm just stating my feelings on the whole thing

Sure that's a fair statement...but to me, it just drives home even more the reasons as to why he was traded.

Pretty simple for me...

You're either with us, or against us.

I still am a big PK Subban fan, I hope he does well against every team in the NHL, EXCEPT the Montreal Canadiens.

I'm not saying everyone should think like me...just stating, I don't understand how anyone DOESN'T think like me, that's a Habs fan.

I always thought this was what separated us from other fanbases, perhaps I give/gave us too much credit.

And that is fair. The team can do that as they wish. It was never a hockey trade. Subban said it himself. We'll be seeing more and more players that have that self awareness and marketing skills pop up in the league. Some teams will have to adjust, others have already adjusted to deal with personalities.

I could see it being the most expensive game if you're buying scalped tickets, but it isn't true otherwise. My friend with season tickets paid $75 per seat (in the greys).

That's inaccurate. Check the Hab's site... $305 for ONE ticket in the Molson Zone on a Tuesday no less. That's equal to or higher than any other game this year, Saturdays included.

https://wroom.centrebell.ca/shop/#/...-4d05-907a-4f1ded92ce36&ec=CAN170302&fac=HABS

$305 is the price of two tickets.

Bought the last ticket available in the wheelchair section for tonight game. I hope I will be able to enjoy the game without people asking me what am I doing in that section. It will be epic, gonna cheer so loud both for PK and for the Habs.

Pricing was probably set before the trade, charging premium as you were getting the opportunity to see one of the best Dmen in the league in no 6 on the Preds:sarcasm:
