You shouldn't have to think when you're playing, other than the lyrics if needed and where the song is going.
more important when playing with others, but solo acts can get by with anything and call it inspiration.

Don't know about that, what did he do?

I just found their music easy to learn and fun to play. Good garage band stuff, my brother's band did a killer version of Travelllin' band, and a great rendition of Have you ever seen the rain.

My band did green river and Suzie Q, and sometimes Bad moon rising', Proud Mary and another one I can't remember.
Seen him with his band about 8 years ago, loved the show.

CCR was a great band, the 2 brothers just could not get along anymore. That’s a shame because I think they still had tread left on their tires when they broke up. American version of BTO, those brothers couldn’t get along either! 2 groups that still had a lot of great music to give!

Finally got to see them this past April, held my tickets for 2 extra years.Elwood Francis did a mighty righteous job on bass.
Good show? what type of people made up the crowd? I saw therm back in the 70's,crowd was mostly under 40.
One of the oldest running bands, good stuff!

Just saw that KWS released a new re-record and new video today for his Blue on Black song which was first released 25 years ago. Such a great tune and hard to believe it was released 25 years ago already.

New video.

Original video from 1997.

Love what these guys do, especially the screaming lead guitar phrasing.

How’s the rest of their repertoire — anything else of this calibre?

Thanks for sharing.

Thought at first it was this band.

So glad you brought up this song.

I must have heard it maybe once many years ago and liked it instantly but could not remember it until I played your clip.

Now, I can’t get enough of it. What a beautiful track. Thx for sharing.

Love CCR.
They were huge in the 60s and early to mid-70s and this iconic song got a ton of airplay for them:

It’s a brand of simple rock that I enjoyed discovering and still appreciate even though like everyone else, my musical tastes have expanded.

They wrote a ton of hits, among them Fortunate Son, and some others I liked, such as Down on the corner, Have you ever seen the rain and Lookin’ out my back door.

That type of straightaway basic rock was very popular in the 60s and 70s and led me to bands like Status Quo — I particularly loved this cut from them:

The lead singer was hair god which no doubt enhanced his aura.

Music with guitars in it isn't really my thing......however, there are always exceptions. Arctic Monkeys best-ever track, live studio performance before they were actually famous and still sounded like young lads from Sheffield.

Simple but timeless choreography by The Temptations on a monster hit from their era:

Bonus points for the lead singer’s geeky glasses.

There’s also the infamous Na Na Na song from its original band.

So many good, great songs about but so easy to forget about them until they get played and you kinda go,oh ya,good song.

Song has an oddly soothing vibe to it, reminds me of Leonard Cohen music.
Thought it might be something you hear in a shooting gallery, don't know.
