New for me.

Good thing we have Québec to save the day. :sarcasm: Asides from the corny translations of American hits, we have some good original stuff come out of here. Even way back in the 60's, we had Les Gants Blancs, les Sinners, Mahogany Rush, this one band, Les Excentriques, were something else. Their big hit was a translation of the Beach Boy's Fun Fun Fun, called Fume fume fume. It was hilarious but made them rich. They were all pink, suits, hair, guitars, they even had a pink Caddy, we passed them on the autoroute heading up North. The Sinners were also a good little band, their Penny Lane was cool.

Did you know Genesis was huge success in Québec, years before the Americans figured them out.

I posted a video that turned out to be the wrong band. I was looking for anything by Triangle, the original Mashmakhan and what I found was a French band.
Got it!lol those were very early days and most likely had no video recordings then.

Don't know if anyone is familiar with Burmester audio,I wasn't but it's frikin amazing! It's in the car I've been using, and keeping btw,but I'm as demanding as it comes for sound quality be it in the homes cars whatever. Being a hybrid the little woman should love it also as she's so green and eco-friendly.Automatic but that's fine as then she can drive it also. Interesting or not,but she's got a manual hybrid in Japan and does fine but stick her on the left side and you're at the mercy of a kamikaze pilot. Mind you I'm not much at ease driving on the ''other'' side either.Gonna try to find some info on Burmester audio.

I just had as look at their stuff. Typical German build. Top quality, I'm sure, with a price to match. Not worth the extra $$$, but that's just me.

I looked it up and it's available at Kebecson in Montreal. Might be worth a drive to give it a test listen.

You should see him in concert, he's a little strange to say the least.
These automatically merged posts are getting me confused.lol
I knew Mashmakan when they were called that, not before. I was speculating that no audio or video exists due to not having equipment to do so then.

Love that song. It used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid.
It makes me wonder if any hallucinogens were involved during the creation.lol

I'm pretty well set but if I ever do need to get home audio equipment, will definitely check them out. If their home audio is as impressive as their car audio might have to make a change, but I am pretty satisfied as it is.

I'm old but not that old.

There are literally millions of videos on YouTube from that period and earlier.

I got news for you,if you saw Zep as I have a few times, you're more on the not young side.lol
Yes but you were referring to the band Triangle,a band that became Mashmakan. In the early/mid 60's bands like that didn't have that type of equipment.

Yamaha? not to nitpick but that's 2 words. Like Kawa saki, river mouth the golfer Matsu yama, pine mountain or ishi bashi, better known as Bridgestone tires. But they make good stuff, many makers do though imo.

I was watching The song remains the same. I realized I never actually watched it in it's entirety. That was memorable when they played the Forum. What a band.
Pioneers of mescaline music:nod:Heard from more than a few that were not impressed with their live performances.I tried watching the movie..............

True, I saw all three Forum shows, and the better one was the first. 4 hours non stop. The crowd wouldn't stop applauding. We freaked out Plant with the lit match thing. Was the first time he'd seen it.
