I'm stunned by how well Benn has played. I don't know if it's because of the prime usage he's getting but he's contributing in all areas.

Leafs were pretty iffy defensively but Murray was pretty good at making the first save and they were good offensively.

Murray looked like a good goalie that hadn't played in about 4 weeks!

First period was a perfect nothing-burger. Great road period.

Weird second period. We seemed to fall asleep as soon as we got up by three... righted the ship a bit as that period went along and important goal in the dying minutes I think turned this game for us.

Ate up the minutes in the third the way a good team does. Murry made a couple good stops, but the boys kept on the attack and put pressure on the Pens.

There is no doubt that Sandin is on the lowest rung for the defence right now.

I loved Kampf's game!

Can't remember the last time we had no power plays *and* had two penalties called on non-existent infractions. Pretty staggering...

What a showing by Murray though, especially when it was a 1 goal game. Huge confidence boost.

I was enthusiastic about Murray's performance until after the game when Hayes pointed out his save percentage vs. the Pens compared to the rest of the league.

Glad for him and the team that he played well but I'm a long way from being convinced he's a) going to stay healthy and b) be the goalie that's capable of carrying the Leafs on a deep playoff run.

Other than Muzzin every D we get looks like the polar opposite of what their previous fans said about them. Brodie was supposed to be a riverboat gambling Gardiner clone, Barrie was supposed to be an transition wizard, Benn was supposed to be the Johnny Malkin of defense.

Overcame a brutal zebras performance for a nice win. Team played very well, other than a nasty turnover on the 2nd goal by Sandin. Benn off to a shockingly good start for us.
