what's the plan ?
27 years old in his prime.
Primeau and Montenbeault here to stay ?
To go in Laval ?
Montreal needs 2 goalies as an insurance policy to prevent Dobes from being the NHL injury replacement. This is the first one, depending on who else is signed, he will be in the AHL or ECHL.what's the plan ?

They'd be an odd combo, considering Connor is 6'4 and Kent is 5'9. But hey, we saw that with the Koivu brothers.Any relation to Kent?
the plan is they will ship someone to NJ + 26th for the 10th overall

Very good goalies in the Swiss league are AHL-level for sure. He had a rapid development in the last two years. I hope (and the Canadians probably too) there is more to come. Has a good size and played excellent during the playoffs. Should have played for Switzerland and the WC.Led Swiss League in save%. Might end up in ECHL but no risk.
I don't know very much about the goalie situation in Montreal, but I highly doubt he would have signed if there is a realistic chance of him being in the ECHL.Montreal needs 2 goalies as an insurance policy to prevent Dobes from being the NHL injury replacement. How many years before Fowler gets to Laval?Dobes/ Hughes tandem for laval.
That’s all this is.

Won't Fowler be too old in 25-26 years?25-26

It can happen of course, but I am sure he starts in the AHL and will compete for lots of playing time. If it was clearly communicated to him that he has a backup role in the AHL or even have to go to the ECHL, there was no reason to take the deal. He was too good for that last year.
At the time of the signing, besides the 2 NHL goalies, they only had Dobes under contract. He just completed his rookie season, and it would be a huge mistake to play him in the NHL if an injury occured to the other 2.I don't know very much about the goalie situation in Montreal, but I highly doubt he would have signed if there is a realistic chance of him being in the ECHL.
