This doesn't make any sense to me but neither did the other two big trades this off season.

I personally would prefer running Duchene and MacKinnon down the middle than adding RNH and trading away my best defensemen.

Three way trades rarely happen, I'd take this with a grain of salt.

Well if won't be a 3 way trade unless Edm and Win deal with one another too. If Barrie is headed to Edm and Trouba to Col, then it could be that the Avs will replace these players in the two deals, perhaps they get RNH from the Oilers and they send one of their top forwards for Trouba.
