Henrik Lunqvist? Not a peep about him.

You forgot Johan Holmqvist. He was our first Swedish hope in net. He was a bust and was the direct reason why I had my reservations about Lundqvist.

Was anyone around when the Rangers were involved in the bidding war for Anders Hedberg and Ulf Nilsson? How amped was the fan base when the Swedes were signed?

Pretty amped and for good reason. They went to the finals in 1979 in their first year.

Sadly, Ulfie was never the same player after Potvin (sucks) broke his leg.

I recall the Ferraro twins getting quite a bit of hype. Though part of that could be because I was constantly bombarded by their pictures and jerseys every time I went into Plaza Sports.
