Going after someone for scoring a goal breaks "The Code" even more so than Greig's exuberant ENG.

No question.
Greig can celebrate a goal or score a goal how he wants.

He hurt no one (other than some players feelings and some fans feelings), and it doesn't deserve a physically violent response.

It's always "If". There is no "if" in this case. Greig wasn't injured. Just because he went down like he was shot doesn't mean he was actually hurt.
