When you spend 1/2 your cap on 4 forwards then key injuries on defense and goaltending is possibly the worst situation for the team to find themselves in. IMO
I mean id rather play with this lineup as it stands than be down Matthews, Marner and Nylander/Tavares personally.

Missing the top half of any depth chart is going to hurt though. Your top 3 D, your top 6 fwds and/or starting goalie isnt ideal

Mete or Mac Hollowell in lol. Prepare your loins for the manlet kings to patrol our backend and get absolutely manhandled.

Dubas does not believe in size or physicality on the backend and now he's gonna learn the hard way.

I know this is a popular talking point among his detractors, but it’s simply not true. If he didn’t he’d never have acquired any of Bogosian, Lyubushkin, Benn or even Muzzin. People just like to go “Look! Small skilled players again!” every time one comes up and ignore the others who don’t fit

This sucks

Mo isn't perfect but he eats a lot of minutes and I don't think we appreciate how much he does for the team, he gives you his all most nights

We can get through this if Liljegren and Sandin play like they are capable and the rest of the team has the defenses backs and hauls ass to get back and help them out

Prove your worth boys, your team needs you

Love or hate Rielly, it will not be easy to replace a 23 min a game guy that can move the puck. They need to make a trade.

I know Kral doesn't have the sexy AHL numbers compared to Hollowell but Kral is way more NHL destined. I'm assuming that Kral is injured. I don't think he's played in a couple of weeks.

Leafs have 5'-9" Mac Hollowell or 5'-9" Victor Mete as good depth, so these are times when a GM's team building vision is on display on how he insulalted the team against injuries.
Maybe you forgot 6'4" 230 lbs Carl Dahlstrom and Jordie Benn were also signed as depth D

No need to draft them. I am told they can easily be acquired using the small, skilled players we draft.

Leafs had very fortunate luck last year with good health and limited injuries.

This year it appears this is starting off on the wrong foot.

Morgan is one of the few players Leafs really can't afford to lose nor replace, without it impacting the team results..

This one hurts that an accidental collision puts him on the shelf for at least a month.

Dubas loves a good twink lineup that gets pushed around and manhandled. Case in point last night, Islanders ran around and took various cheap shots...Sandin of all people had to step in and fight a guy way above his weight class.

Undoubtedly Knies and Minten get high interest from other organizations.
Knies is a stand alone in that regard and I would argue our second forward would be robertson

I'd love to see Liljegren on PP1.
He has the composure, skating, passing, and a shot. He loves sneaking in for a one-timer. Give him a 10-game tryout, and I think he'll become a mainstay.
But likely it’s Sandin on pp1 and lily on pp2 since the first pp stays out pretty much the whole time maybe they flip flop the d

At this point is our conditioning coaches a problem? or is a corrupt officiating system that doesn't call most infractions against teams facing the Leafs a bigger deal?

Everyting true. Now we just have to stay suck on a standstill and follow how sandin (I like his name as you too sure I know that), will play, skate fast and play pp1. He will make mistakes... but now we will have to see how the kjällgren and murray bail him out and also how vet type lilljegren can save this fast kid too.

Knee on knee is not a conditioning issue. I wouldn't call that accident an officiating issue either, it's a physical game, sometimes injuries like that just happen.

Now the Matthews one last night, that was an officiating issue.
