I did the stats during that stretch, and the team finshed about .500 I believe or just a bit above. It was quite amazing they did that and was a great job by Keefe.

Dubas has to make a move.
Giordano can't be expected to take over Reilly's 23+ minutes a night for and extended period and Sandin simply isn't ready to take on that responsibility. Given that Muzzin's status will likely be known before the TD, Dubas will still be able to move salary if he somehow returns.

Hard to imagine Dubas sits on his hands with a D core so banged up as ours.

I think the personal now is better than before, with development from Sandin and Liljegren and the addition of Giordano, so if we can get our forwards to be responsible and our goaltenders to play well, we shouldn’t be too bad

But if an upgrade is out there and it makes sense, dubas should really consider pulling the trigger. No matter how good he’s been so far, Giordano being our #1 doesn’t make me confident

Just think with Gio on PP1 we now have a threat of a point shot other teams need to respect vs Reilly muffin shot. Cross seam passes between Willy and AM will be so much easier.

#44 has a muffin of a shot on the point and teams don't respect it on the PK as they know he doesn't shoot so they sag off. Go re-watch games to see it. In his zone, he is not a good shutdown guy. He can skate out of trouble but- defending stuff like 2 on 1 he typically makes the wrong read.

Don't get me wrong he is a great puck mover and jumps in the rush well but unless you have a Broadie or back in the day Hainsey backing him up it gets exposed quickly

Very tough loss.. Everyone’s going to need to step up. Hopefully he will be back after the 10 games. I’m assuming we’re right at the top for man games missed.

Losing 1D, 2D, 3D, and 8D (Kral) is pretty catastrophic for any team but I think we are better positioned than most to survive it. Gio is still a solid D and logged first pairing minutes last year in Seattle, Holl is up-and-down as we all know but he can be passable in a top 4 role, and that leaves Liljegren and Sandin. I have more faith in the former than the latter, but regardless both are genuine NHL D. Bottom pairing is going to be a problem, though.
