I can’t remember one act as bad as this, considering the attack came well after the goal was scored, from the blind side, and while the guy was skating to his bench. Can you remember one that was of this level?

Yes, in fact I remember one EXACTLY like this, and it resulted in a 21 game suspension.

Center of the hockey universe

Heavy is the king who wears the crown
I don't think you got that expression quite right but whatever. Anyhow it's no big deal, watching hundreds of posters rush in here to crap on the Leafs is only making my morning much more amusing than it would otherwise be. :)

Man up says the guy who’s lost his shit over a slapper into an empty net.
I love all this shit, Greigs slapper Reilly response - makes for great theater.

Doesn’t mean Reilly didn’t blindside cross check a player in the head after the the whistle in exactly the same fashion as Dale Hunter who was suspended for 21 games.
But I guess all those people watching like me in the mid 80s were p***yes too lmfao.

Pull up your big boy pants there champ you sound like deranged dipshit.

When did I lose my shit? I think that a rookie who doesn’t know how to act was taught an immediate lesson by a vet.

Everything is exactly as it should be

Probably not, but you get where I’m coming from

Leafs are truly the draw of the NHL. It would be a tiny sport without them. They just draw so much attention, both good and bad.

Come on Leaf fans It’s not about Greig snapshot into EN - that would not be thread worthy or maybe gather a few posts if there was no cross checking to the head afterwards
Reilly clearly overacted. I predict he’s going to get 5 game suspension

If you have over 15K posts here and need to ask, you're a very slow learner.

Or, i use logic and you're trying to explain with emotion. I'm trying to promote thinking here.

Actually break down why taking a Slapshot on an empty net is so offense.

You'll realize it's not, and has nothing to do with how long you've played the game or watched it.

I've played multiple sports competitively and seen a lot of dumb shit...I've never been propelled to cross check someone in the face.

So I'm asking someone to break down how it's good or smart to lose your cool over a nothing play and potentially face a lengthy suspension.

Please, explain how it's so smart.

Then you might understand the angle I'm coming from.

If you easily get offended, I cannot help you.

Maybe a sports psychologist can though.

lol. I take zero offense to what happens on the ice. It has nothing to do with me.

You not understanding basic nuance is quite odd. How do type and breath at the same time?

He deserves a suspension, but he didn’t over react.

I’d rather if all 6 skaters on the ice skated by to give the kid a shot in the head

And there are consequences to that.

This is how you teach people to change their behavior. You make it hurt to do it

This will encourage Greig to do it again.

If your goal was to stop Greig from doing it again, they picked the worst strategy to do it.

It's like teaching a lesson to a thief by sending him another check in the mail.

And you not understanding logic or using it at any point is even odder.

How do you walk without tripping over yourself and cross checking someone on your way down.

wouldn’t have liked that empty netter if was against my team.
Also wouldn’t have liked the response if it was my team.

70 pages of whatever has been funny to watch, though. But, I’m pro-Tkachuk led team.
