Wrong, this is the comparable:

One happened during the play and the other happened after.

In one instance the player grabs the players neck with his arms after the crosscheck and in the other he doesn't.

In one, they mention he has a history of supplemental discipline for crosschecking and in the other he has no history.

Exactly why is the less comparable one the comparable?

Crazy that the Leafs can’t beat one of the biggest disappoints this year eh?
Not really. Most playoff teams will have a losing in-season record against at least one terrible team. Congratulations on the variance working in your favor though. You should hang a banner like the Predators.

Yep if the King of all Douches approves you know it was a classy move.
Ya every team now sitting in their locker room coming up with ideas, on what to do when have an empty net opportunity against the leafs. Won’t it be great, just like you said you wanted, more spice.

First, second, or third time offense should have nothing to do with the initial suspension.

You should just have games tacked on for being a repeat offender.

10 should be the minimum for shit like this. This is stupid.

I don't disagree but it does matter, the NHL has made that very clear

What? Both the Perron and Rielly crosschecks happened during the game, after the whistle.

In one instance the player grabs the players neck with his arms and gets on his back after the crosscheck and in the other he doesn't.

In one, they mention he has a history of supplemental discipline for crosschecking and in the other he has no history.

Exactly why is the less comparable one the comparable?

Since everyone keeps highlighting that this happened after the whistle

I guess we got our comparable:

Happened against the Leafs as well.

It's good that you care. It at least makes one person.

A downtown arena would be perfect because the city is great for walking once you step out of your downtown hotel.

Some day.

He said start a scrum drop the gloves and get in his face, don't surprise him with a cross check to the head.

It wouldn't have been much better if he cold cocked him unsuspectingly and started pummeling him though at least that's not with a weapon, the implication was he should have challenged him to a fight, giving Greig the opportunity to defend himself while still getting the message across that you can't embarrass "us" that way.
Thanks for clarifying. I don’t see this much different than when someone lays out one of your players. What often happens is someone instigates (or jumps) the person throwing the hit. They don’t get in their face, drop their gloves, and make sure the other side is willing to engage. In the heat of the moment, you can’t expect someone to approach things they way that was suggested. This is hockey, people get heated and this is often what happens. Not saying it’s perfectly fine to accept, but it’s hockey and this is how players respond from time to time.
One is a legitimate goal scored during the course of play.

The other is not a goal.

In what world is a goal comparable to a non-goal?
Because you are focusing on goal/no-goal as opposed to the actual suspendible offence. I don’t think anyone is going to tell Rielly that if the shot was after the whistle the action would have been justified.

Beat the leafs 3 outta 4.
Bragging rights out the window for leafs in battle of ontario this year.

Leafs fans want to prevent the Senators from getting a core that can make the playoffs.

I would sign the Leafs up for losing all 4 if it keeps the Senators from finally getting a good core player.

I hope the Senators waltz into 10th place in the East again. They usually step it up when there's no chance of the playoffs to create buzz for the next year.

Maybe you should watch the Perron video again. You could literally transcribe word for word what what said in the video, replacing Perron/Zub with Rielly/Greig, and it would apply perfectly.

The only exception is Perron getting a fine once many years ago. That's a difference of maybe one game. Considering Perron was ejected in the 1st period, he effectively served 7 games. I'm 99% sure Rielly will get 6 games.

You're so full of shit lol. The Senators suck, but they have very nice, young core players. Tkachuk, Stutzle and Sanderson are three unless you're too blind to see it.
