Frost is the kind of player that if he gets drafted by Tampa, he's posting near PPG seasons, playing for Team Canada, and we are wondering why the Flyers can't get a player like that.
No he's not. He's their 3C. He's not beating out Point or Guorde/now Cirelli.
And when he was drafted, they were so deep he'd probably have spent a full season in the AHL at 22.

He's not an uber talent that could have forced his way into the lineup of a SC contender.
Here he's getting the PT and opportunities he wouldn't receive on a top team.
Really good players, given his opportunity, would have established themselves as a top six player by now.

Player A was worse statistically in literally every relevant stat category but would clearly play ahead of Player B.

Don't let the 11 and 8 short handed points fool you. Player B does not play on the PK in the NHL but Player A is a PK staple for his team.

I choose to drink the Hemlock.

Frost is 25 in his 3rd season as a starter, what he did at 19 is irrelevant.
He's played with the best forwards on the team, it's up to him to seize the opportunity.
He played with Tippett and TK earlier in the season and was meh.
More power to him if he takes advantage of a second chance.

Are you sure? FLA gave up on Marchessault and TB on Verhaeghe.

Meanwhile no Flyers has gone on to success after failing here, Sharp, J Williams and Seidenberg two decades ago were the last ones. Ghost was injured but his best season was here, 2017-18.

If Frost can't make it work with Tippett and TK, he's not going to get better wings on other teams.

Yes he is sure. Development and environment matters heavily for non-star players and prospects. The Flyers have trash on both fronts, and that's why damned near everyone underperform or regress.

Ghost had 56 points last season.

The last non-Ghost Flyers defenseman to put up at least 56 points was Garry Galley in 93-94.

But, I wouldn't consider Ghost a failure in Philly, anyway...

we have talked about this for three years. We have 500+ minutes with Frost and TK. He has made it work with TK. He continues to make it work with TK.

The only people who seem to not see it are you and Torts
Everybody makes it work with TK.
Actually some weird number last year and a half
Frost - TK 398 minutes: xGF 55.40%, HDCF 56.68%,GF/xGF/60: 4.12/2.77
Frost w/o TK 987 minutes: xGF 52.95%, HDCF 50.97%, GF/xGF/60: 1.92/2.52
TK w/o Frost 1378 minutes: xGF 51.49%, HDCF 51.28%, GF/xGF/60: 2.50/2.76
neither: 3400 minutes: xGF 51.76%, HDCF 53.42%, GF/xGF/60: 2.43/2.45

Frost - Tippett 692 minutes: xGF 54.99%, HDCF 52.81%,GF/xGF/60: 3.76/2.87
Frost w/o Tippett 693 minutes: xGF 52.14%, HDCF 52.89%, GF/xGF/60: 1.36/2.32
Tippett w/o Frost 924 minutes: xGF 49.89%, HDCF 49.29%, GF/xGF/60: 2.18/2.55
neither: 3855 minutes: xGF 52.12%, HDCF 52.86%, GF/xGF/60: 2.51/2.53

Frost struggles to score without TK and/or Tippett on the ice.
Confirms the eyeball test, he's really not a good playmaker - best when moving his feet and attacking in transition with fast linemates, pushing play before the defense can set up.
Which makes him a bad match for Michkov, who is best at O-zone setups.

If he's so good, how come the PP is so bad with him on it?
A good playmaker should be able to drive this PP to respectability, no?

There must be an absolute war going on in your 'dead' head. You praise everything the team does, then you belittle certain players. They're part of the team you know.

I don't "belittle" Frost, I've praised him when praise was due.
But some here have an exaggerated opinion of his talent.
He's as much a product of his linemates as a center who drives his line.
