1927/28 - A relaxed Reg Noble (Detroit Cougars) posing for the camera. He played on the first day of the NHL (December 19, 1917), scoring four goals on opening night, and played his last NHL game on March 28, 1933
Taylor always had that air about him like he knew he was hot stuff
Look at how beautiful Carson's stick is!
October 25, 1988 - Jimmy Carson (# 12) skates past an out of position Glenn Healy (# 35). Steve Duchesne (# 28) is in the background. Both Carson and Duchesne had 1+1 in the game. It was Carson’s first visit to LA where he had played the two previous seasons
Not the first time I've seen it but Gretzky after breaking Howe's goal record is awesome. He had already accomplished more than any player in the history of the game but I'm sure surpassing his idol was the #1 thing on his list or damn near close to it. Just pure happiness and elation.
Its like "I already won and did everything possible in the sport but now I've accomplished what was the unthinkable"
Photo I'd never seen before (second in the tweet below) - actor Burt Mustin (Leave it to Beaver, Brady Bunch, others) as the goaltender for Pennsylvania Military College in 1902:

This is the CN Tower under construction in Toronto, 1974.
Of interest from a hockey perspective:
I think that's the Mutual Street Arena - the home of the Leafs before Maple Leaf Gardens - near the top-left of the photo....with the slanted roof, in white, just east of St. Michael's Cathedral. The arena was demolished in 1989. You wouldn't be able to see that location now with all the condos and other new buildings.
Maple Leaf Gardens is just slightly out of view around the top-left corner of the photo.
Scotiabank Arena, built in the late '90s, is now located around the right edge of the photo, about a third or so from the top of the photo, around those rail yards.
The Royal York Hotel, one of the two Toronto bubble hotels, standing prominently on Front Street, just a bit north of where Scotiabank Arena is now.
And the HHOF is just east of the Royal York on Front Street, but difficult to see from this view.
