Moose Season Discussion

The Winnipeg Jets have entered into a partnership with the Norfolk Admirals to become the club's ECHL affiliate for the 2023-24 season, it was announced Friday.

The Jets' AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, are also involved in the partnership.

"We are excited to begin our partnership with the Norfolk Admirals," said Jets senior vice president and director of hockey operations/assistant general manager Craig Heisinger in a news release. "The city of Norfolk and the Admirals franchise have a rich hockey history. We look forward to the opportunity that this affiliation will provide for our prospects."

Does anyone know anything about the Manitoba Moose vs. U of M Bisons games scheduled for Oct. 5 and 9? Is this the Moose rookies/prospects (a Young Stars-type thing) or is the whole team? It's on the Bisons schedule but the Moose website doesn't mention it.

I see that they played at the Iceplex last season but I don't remember hearing anything about it. Is it even open to the public? Thought I might go check it out if it is.

I'm somewhat loath to go against CapFriendly but it sure looks like 49 to me.

Jets have 24 (including Heinola)
Moose/CHL/Overseas have 25

I just checked Puck Pedia and they have it as 49.

@Buffdog - Milic signed a one-year AHL deal with the Moose.

Your count of 49 is including Barlow, Wagner, Salomonsson and DiVincentiis who all don’t count towards the 50. Cap friendly shows 49 players (including those 4) but 45 “counters”
