Moose Season Discussion

I'm not expecting the whole league to come to Winnipeg over the course of a season but it would be nice to see at least half of it.

Since few care enough about the AHL to allow that rivalry hate we feel at the NHL level to grow, all one can say is familiarity breeds ennui. :nod:

Too much of the same teams can get a bit dull regardless of level... the North Division COVID season for the Jets was a recipe for intense rivalries but most people were pretty happy to see the Jets take on the rest of the league again.

How so from the start of last season the jets have 2 new top 6 forwards and 3 new bottom 6 forwards so far.
Edit. Not even counting Jeff viel. He will play plenty too against goon teams like the wild.

So we are thinking Chaz, Big Bad Brad, Chib and Kuz all moose this year?

What is the rest of the team looking like and projected lines?

Yes, I think all four of those guys will be on the Moose. As for projected lines, it might be something like this:

Torgersson - Lucius - Bongiovanni
Mallott - Lambert - Chibrikov
Suess - Nikkanen - Reichel
Zhilkin - Toninato - Ford

With Harkins, AJF and Gustafsson possibly sprinkled in.

Defense: LD - Heinola, Chisholm, Kuzmin, Sautner; RD - Lundmark, Bauer, Stewart

Delia and Salminen in goal

interesting, one might actually watch a couple of Moose games this year. Is it still as hard to catch a stream or full replay as it used to be? In like "you pay 50 bucks a month and get an awfully shitty SD stream with no commentare and be happy about it!" kind of hard?

Can't remember exactly how much I paid, but it was around $50 for the entire season to watch a single team. Stream quality was fine and they sync the radio play by play to the stream.

Are they still using the same feed that ends up on the jumbotron? So you have replays but only goals scored and there is generally no video director (therefore you can't have any other replays or cuts).

I started commentating a german first league women hockey team last season so I actually got a very good look into the insided of broadcasting a hockey game via live stream lol.

Yeah it's pretty much only goals scored that gets replays, but the video player allows you to go back and forth so it's easy enough to jump back if there's something you want to watch again.

Liwiski had the worst +/- and the most PIM by far on Wichita last year. Looks like Zinger going for some GRIT. Bauer not goon it up enough last year? :laugh:
