Capo is really the only offensively talented defenseman in this lineup. @ICdave when you have a minute, why no Kuzmin or Kniazev tonight?

With the WHL commissioner helping True North out by getting rid of the competition, the Moose have regained their birthright as family-friendly hockey entertainment.

But they ought to be good if you want us to not miss the Ice.

Sautner and Stewart aren't AHL level defensemen. Oligny is but not ideally.

Suspect they wanted a bigger lineup as Calgary has some big boys. But they could have used the good first pass those two are known for to help get the puck up to the forwards. Suspect we see one or both in lineup on Sunday.

Can't blame ya, game got real boring for the last two periods.

The first period was riveting. The last two were... classic Moose hockey. Disappointing for a roster like that. We'll see how things go this afternoon.

Lucius and Chibrikov looking fantastic on the powerplay, Lucius snipes a goal. Losing 2-1 early in the 3rd.

Kniazev finds Lambert to send him on a breakaway, 2-2.
Moose goals on the season - Chibrikov, Lambert, Lucius, Lambert.

Lucius stealing pucks, knows where to be. Kniazev has a really nice first pass.

Chibrikov can be electric.

Good lord Chibrikov is fast.

Moose win in OT. Toninato tips in a Lambert shot, Chibrikov with the 2nd assist.

No Lucius in overtime at all despite having a fantastic 3rd period. He reads plays really well.

Chibrikov is a puck hound. Both powerplay goals came from him battling the puck away from a player trying to send it down.

You never know who is going to make it or not, but man I feel like Chibrikov has all the tools to be a successful NHL regular.

(Turns out it was Toninato who touched it and got the GWG. Based on his reaction it seemed like he scored it but at the time they credited Lambert with his second of the game)

Moose improve to 1-1-0-0 on the season.

Jets' young guns were fantastic today. Lambert is starting to dominate play with the puck the way he did in the WHL. Chibrikov is a puck hound with top-grade skills. Lucius showing good hockey sense and positioning and strong puck skills.

Really good signs this early in the AHL season.

Kniazev has great wheels and isn't shy about taking off with the puck. His issue is going to be defending, I think.
