Game was honestly hard to watch for a while there. Moose ended up with almost 30 shots I think, but it certainly didn’t feel like it. No one was getting chances.
Moose special teams hurt them, despite scoring on a 5-on-3, they also gave up a shortie and their PK was scored on too.
Wonder if this is another season where the top Moose scorer has like 45 points in 60 games.
Lambert was dynamic and a zone entry machine. I thought he was their best player and he created a few chances that weren’t cashed by his teammates. Easily could’ve had a four point game.
Chibrikov flashed well too. His creativity with the puck is his best asset. Definitely NHL potential there and I think the game will slow down for him over the course of the year. He has good hockey sense.
Lucius wasn’t bad. Found the soft spots of the ice in the o-zone very well and has a great shot, but he needs someone to get him the puck. I don’t think the C experiment will work for him as I think if he makes it in the NHL it’ll be as a pure finishing winger.
I thought Ford played with some spunk and tenacity too.
Capobianco showed some offensive chops but also some struggles in his own zone. He’s adequate as a top pairing AHL defender, though.
AJF showed off his speed but not much else.
Delia’s save percentage wasn’t the best but I thought he did well enough.
Overall a pretty forgettable game.
