He has it in him to be dangerous with motion and switches in the ozone.

I wish the Jets could have the movement the Moose had on the PP. I'm not sure the Jets have ever moved like the Moose do.

Declan seems to be the type that can spearhead a bottom pairing with his game. I think he gets another opportunity next year and makes a lot of noise with it.

I hope the next coach gives him the chance. Under Maurice he'd probably see that Chisholm has offensive talent and he'd end up getting locked into a top 4 or bust role.

Heinola, Samberg and Chisolm all look ready to contribute in some way for the Jets next year. Kovacevic could even get a few games with some luck. Jets need to move one or two of the expensive vets (Schmidt is who I would move) because Heinola and Chisolm can do what he does for a fraction of the cost. Samberg easily takes Stanley's spot.

Barron and Reichel will play games in the bottom six. Barron could push for a regular 3rd line role and Reichel will need some injuries etc to the Jets to see more than a few spot games.

We saw a bit of movement at the end of the season with the Jets but still nowhere near as much.

One of the reasons I wouldn't by opposed to getting Carbery if we don't get Trotz. He turned the Leaf's PP into the best one in the league.

Yeah I think Perfetti and Samberg have regular spots locked up at this point. I'd expect Heinola and Barron to push for regular spots out of camp as well.

Impressed by Samberg, Chisholm, Heinola

Unimpressed with basically everyone else and every forward besides Barron.

I expected more from Gustaffson tbh

Gus : 5GP - 1A

Was at all the home playoff games, and I was expecting more as well from Gus. Maybe the Gus Bus was stuck in the garage?

As for the team, I know we were missing Perfetti which obviously could have made a difference, but JMO, I saw no one in the forward group other than Barron, based on their play, that you could point to when you needed a goal.

Malott had 1 point in 5GP, Eyssimont had 1 point in 5GP, Gus had 1 point in 5GP

Nice to see the Moose come back and force game 5. I thought the Moose had a chance to go on a run, but unfortunately couldn't get it done.

The over hyped Manitoba Moose could only manage 2 wins in a 5 game series to a team which finished below them in the standings!

So much for the long playoff run....more True North wishing on a star!

He missed last few regular season games and wore a yellow, non-contact during practices the week prior to the start of game 1. Based on how he played he was 100% dealing with an injury but trying to play through it. Will find out tomorrow at end of season media availability.

Heinola set up 2-3 golden cross ice chances in the latter half of this game and the Moose just don't have the shooting talent to capitalize on those setups.

Samberg set one up in the last 5-6 minutes too.
Chisholm also sent a beauty back-door pass that the forward failed to convert.

The Moose were great this year but in the playoffs especially really lacked a forward that could finish. Perfetti or Reichel could have made a big difference.

Interesting their goalie Ingrim actually played games 2, 3 & 4 for Nashville against the Avs, then gets sent down to beat the Moose and particularly stoned them in the 3rd. Nashville knows how to use guys properly up and down.

I loved the Moose game up until the first period yesterday when they seemed to revert inexplicably to a Jets type of effort and without enough finishers couldn't make up the two goals.

Still, we got treated to some excellent playoff hockey and lots of good prospects to look forward to. Chisholm, Heinola, Samberg, Kov and Gus all better get real good looks next year.

The Moose have a great dcore but a pretty poor forward group. I'm a bit disappointed with Gus down the stretch, his offense plummeted after Cole left.

I think he can produce with talented players but can't drive much himself. That could work as a 3C at some point depending on who his wingers are

Doesn't really matter. Whoever won this series was just destined for a beatdown by the Wolves.

I didn't think Gus looked all that good in the playoffs either, but now hearing he was playing at all with a high ankle sprain, that says a lot.
Gus is really having shit luck with all these different injuries. Given that he was able to play with this one, I'm hoping it wasn't too bad and he can recover and get close to a full offseason of summer training in.

Just an FYI we will be doing our IC/Moose blended end of season wrap up show on Tuesday, May 31st at 3 PM. Confirmed guests included Manitoba GM Craig Heisinger and head coach Mark Morrison. As well a number of players will join us to recap their 2021-22 season.

It will be a live show so you can ask questions in the comments section or you can always hit me with a message and I can try to get it in during the roundtable.

You can watch it here.

15 goals for Tyler Boland in the playoffs with the Growlers. He’s a step above the ECHL level. Have to imagine he gets a role with the Moose next year.
