That's good news.

I can see that, but from an organizational perspective there has to be some push to get some of the prospects playing, from a development standpoint. The Polei-Maier-Jones line should be safe, but beyond that...you would think there would be an interest in seeing how Torgersson could play, instead of Bobby Lynch, say, when you have a top 40 pick on your roster. Bongiovanni has just gone through the NCAA tournament to the final 8, so he seems like a guy that's ready to jump in as well.

Though a run of any kind is good for True North's pockets with the Jets out.

Should be some depth at both forward and defense for Mark Morrison to use. Do folks think Berdin can take the team all the way?
I think Berdin could take them all the way. I know his save percentage is not great, but he wins games. I think the win- loss record is the most important stat for a goalie.

I think the biggest question mark heading into this post-season will end up being goaltending. Berdin's numbers have gotten better of late (hasn't allowed more than 2 goals last 4 games) but his save % has him 28th in the AHL. Holm has had an up and down season as well but given he was gonna be a project it really isn't a big concern.

Evan Cormier was the most dependable although his numbers have taken a hit recently allowing nine goals in five periods of work.

Chisholm in my views of the Moose this looks like the best of the group of good D they have there. I think he has been playing on the Right side at times this year as well

Him and Gawanke have been connected at the hip all season when they're both in the lineup, maybe in the 7 games Gawanke missed he played the right side though can't remember.

What will the pairings be if Samberg comes down?
Samberg and Kovacevic generally play together, probably Heinola-Lundmark/Oligny for the last pairing. They've moved away from the Samberg-Kovacevic pairing at times this year though.

So remind me how the Moose can clinch 2nd place in the Central…should the Moose not win again this regular season.

Berdin will want goal 2 and 4 back. Moose got lots of shots (including a 20-6 edge in the 2nd) but they fell behind, almost came back but ultimately fell 5-3.

Moose goal 1:

Moose goal 2:

Moose goal 3:

If only Vesalainen could do that on a regular basis. Release the fury Mitch.

They play Milwaukee tomorrow afternoon to close out the road portion of their regular season.

Gustafsson looked strong on two of the goals, getting in the goalies eyes. Gawanke will want the 3rd goal back.

How does it work for the prospects practicing with the team? If they play their contracts kick in? Can the Moose sign them to AHL tryouts for the playoffs?
I'd like to see Torgersson-Gustafsson-Vesalainen as a line in the playoffs.

Nikkanen & Torgersson as well as Wyatt Bongiovanni are all on ATOs so they are all good to play now and are all eligible to play in the playoffs although I don't expect that to happen. My guess is maybe the game here in Winnipeg on Tuesday against Texas we might see them. Their ELCs with the Jets do not start until next season.

Thank you, keep up the good work.

Looked like it would be a disaster after they gave up two goals in 21 seconds to make it a 3-2 Moose lead early in 3rd.

Ville Heinola regains the two goal Moose lead:

Evan Polei makes it a three goal lead:

David Gustafsson ices game with a shorthanded empty netter:

The Moose end the regular season road portion with a 6-2 win over the Admirals. They head back to Manitoba for the final 3 home games. Lots of good performances.

The Jets should get Barron and Samberg down to the Moose soon, imo. Maybe call up Oligny for a few games as a courtesy for him.
Oligny is a healthy scratch when Samberg is sent down. Why would we let him play in the NHL over any of the 6 that are ahead of him?

Going to be some interesting decisions for the coaches come playoff time. Probably a good chance the Moose stick with Vesalainen-Gustafsson-Eyssimont and Malott-Suess-Reichel after this game. Polei-Maier-Jones have been the energy line down the stretch. Seems like there could be some competition to get on that final line, that Barron will probably pivot.

Vesalainen looks a little more inspired of late, you wish you could see the skills he has come together as a Jet.

Defense should be strong when Samberg joins the team, having Phillips and Lundmark as depth.

In the Rockford highlights, Berdin looked a little unstable in the net. Is Cormier the #2 goalie on the roster?

Holm seems to be on pause right now as Cormier has backed up Berdin the last little bit. It isn't a big deal since the net was Berdin's this year and Holm was seen as a bit of a longer project. Berdin has been better of late but hasn't been a show stopper (or puck stopper for that matter) although prior to the five he let in last game he had kept it to two goals or less in the previous four. Goaltending might be the biggest limiting factor for this team advancing in the playoffs.

Manitoba lost Kristian Reichel on first shift of game:

Welcome to Winnipeg Daniel Torgersson:

Moose up 2-1 halfway through the 2nd period.
